Scooby saved my arse last night
last night i drove home from mates house. It was around half 11 and very foggy with light rain. last half mile before i get home you have straight road emerging from village for like quarter of a mile up the hill. you need to rev it a little to go up that hill. 3rd gear more then enough. when you get to end of that stretch there is a 45* degree bent turning right and goes into flat so if you take it too quickly it will spit you out. well last night i drove up and just before i got to that bent i slowed down to 30mph and what i see in last moment? !Removed! cyclist wearing just black clothes and no lights so as i swerved round him turned in and car started skiding out of the road. so i hit the throttle and scooby got me out of that sweaty situation with absolute ease. got home and thought blimey that was close call -_- i think if you get scared in situation like this thats it end of story. so feeling quite safe driving scooby :)

Knocking again :(
ok so bit of an update. i think i narrowed it down a little, i think i went under the car today but couldnt see anything obvious. everything is nice and tight, no movement. backbox moves a little when you shake it but has enough clearence not to knock against anything there. so i suppose thats pretty normal. this knocking is intermittent but when its there its double on engine brake and single on moving on from low revs. its not related to brake pedal. and its defo coming from back. i dont think its antiroll bar bushes as they would knock on rough road. this is not affected by surface car is driven on. As Tlag says its more back-forth movement of the car. rather then up and down. So what we come down to is - Diff bushes/braces and propshaft. Possibly exhaust ? Its definately something knocking on chassis/body. It drives me crazy. Can someone shed some light please on potential cost and repair difficulty ? Not a right time for any costly repairs atm for me i am afraid :( thank you for advices lads :)

Knocking again :(
Ok so last week i had this knock coming from the rear. I thought it was jack in the boot being loose and knocking against body- nope. It came back :( i try to give more info- it doesnt knock driving over rough road- bumps, potholes etc. its more related to forward-backwards movement. And defo linked to accelerator/ brake. Lets say im getting to junction, letting go off the throttle so engine brakes a little- knock knock. Pressing brake - nothing. Then moving on- clutch, accelerator soon as it moves - knock. Drives me nuts. Doesnt knock everytime tho. Just sometimes more audible. Its coming from the rear, tried rocking both wheels no play. Shocks are good. New brake pads. Was thinking about 2 things- exhaust ( tried shaking it- nothing) or drop links? Someone please help

strange knocking noise on 2nd gear
I noticed this 2 nights ago, moving on from traffic lights, steady throttle 1st then onto second and had to let go off accelerator pedal but didnt brake pedal just let engine brake, soon as slow down i heard this knocking at the back- like coming from boot or even from underneath. Its rear passengers side. tried it couple of times after. 3rd gear little brake then into 2nd and let it roll -here it comes again. i can do same on 1st- nothing, 3rd nothing. Its not related to road bumps or pot holes, tried rocking the rear wheel- nothing, exhaust moves just slightly but thats normal i suppose. then i checked boot, reserve wheel not moving around, and no tools moving about in wheel well. No idea what it could be :(

New STI??
i think this is bit controversial you either love it or hate it-like Marmite :) it looks sporty but only thing i like is rear. i think it looks mean with 2 double tail pipes and difuser but front looks like focus to me and from side it reminds me bmw 3 series. I also read that it will have 2.5ltr turbo charged engine producing 305hp?

How to know the trim level?
there should be a badge in your engine bay or boot, alternatively you can find it in your car documents i think :)
