  1. right so now im getting reception but is sooo weak, if im on hill or open area then its ok, but driving through build up area or valley and nothing again
  2. time to renew my tired looking calipers, what colour would you suggest? car is blue steel and wheels are OZ 17" in gunmetal grey

  10. yeah thats what i think, there was also a big fuse which looked like oversized festoon bulb hooked to battery. i will investigate this further hopefuly thursday or friday

Oh i see :) i will need to have a better look when im off, cos the prewious owner left bunch of cables under passangers carpet and plugged to battery going to boot, none of them were connected to anything and none of them were aerial cable. I suspect it was some sort of homemade music install. i will take a pics when i get a chance ;)
  12. went to stealers today to get quote on some service parts- spark plugs, oil, oil filter, coolant etc which was pretty much same as any other car i had but the timing belt kit was quoted £ 373 with tax i saw genuine kits online for about £170. still lot tho
  13. i tried to open boot this morning, using that little lever under drivers seat but it wont open it. I can hear it clicking but thats about it. Didnt have much time this morning, is it difficult to fix ?

  16. Right another question lads Im not getting any radio reception at all. nothing. there is a blaupunkt unit instead of original and there is one thick black cable not connected anywhere. but its too short ( only a foot ) how does antenna works in these cars? do they have printed antenna?

  19. God i only been here 2 days and said i will keep my scooby standard and my Fleabay watch list is already enormous :o i was looking at those induction kits with cone filter. Now wont the oil from filter damage the MAF sensor? And how easy are they to install?

    alrite just measured them today and drivers side wiper is 23" ? and passagers one is 16.5" seems odd doesnt it?
  21. I just joined this forum and being a fresh Subaru owner i will have some silly questions ^_^ now is that true that to change spark plugs on scooby you need to remove engine mounts ?
  22. yeah exactly, i dont mind them myself but they were fully refurbished before i got them so for now they are ok :)
  23. i think those wheels would look better in silver, but for now im happy with them as they are. they weere refurbed so are spotless. im sure i will be on look out for new set soon ;)
