ah ha at Tony, he's good guy and Hunter alignment teacher ;)

yep, yep, probably is but not sure. the problem is that i cannot reach the end with my fingers / arm hence the long screw driver you can see in the pictures. now please bear in mind that my06 Forester was used by her previous owner (a farmer) as if she was a Hilux for farming and hunting with lots of miles in the fields / sand / crossing fords / mud. also probably never really cleaned other that a quick splash of water... i'm not complaining at all and very happy with my06 as she costed me peanuts monies and is mechanical sound :)

well i did the pressure wash before this as the mud on mine is stuck on and cannot removed by pressure wash hence the reason do it by hand to spend about 3 hours for both sides. used a long screw driver trying to remove the mud... i'm thinking of making a mod to easy remove dirt in the near future as both my arms are badly scratched

are they fitting on a my06 forester as one is gone (reflextor), probably to much mud :o

after talking with the marc driver he agreed to pay for the damages so canceled the insurance claim. as one of the things i know about these insurance companies is that when you made a claim NOT EVEN YOUR FAULD they will make your premium higher! happened to my missus when she was rear ended while standing still for a red traffic light.

as pictures say more the words, M25 clockwise, 13:50, 21/2/14, around reference pole A 76.6 (between juct 10/11) black merc likes to change lane where i was driving and then acutally likes to keep driving. thanks to the guy in a company van who stoipped the merc and is my witness. not much damage as a scuff but like to check it out behind the bumper. my first accident on 32 years of motoring!

back in Australia i use both Subaru SA718 Fuel Additive and Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner SA459 for my Forester, this with good results. so back in the UK having again a Forester of i went to my trusty Mitsubishi/Kia/Subaru parts dealer in Crawley. i used these guys over many years when having a L200 and later a Sorento before. only to be told never heard of it :o any one here in the UK who bought and used it? the link to Subaru Australia; http://www.subaru.com.au/parts/catalogue/fuel-system-carbon-maintenance?ref=mobile regret i didn't stock some in my sea container... i know in the US they have Seafome what doesmore or less the same thing as the Subaru upper engine cleaner.

back in 2003 i did test drove a Forester when working in Leuven (Belgium) as i needed a company car. well i did like it only not the company i was working at as you could only get a diesel (company policy). ended up in a boring Volvo diesel i took over from a colleague who left the company. years later well in 2013 when living in Australia i bought a my03 Forester with 200k KM on the odo and was impressed how it dove. i do my own maintenance and ike the construction of the Subaru's. i have maintained lots of different vehicles through out the years and probably stay with a Subaru, just like them. so when i came back to the UK i bought a well used my06 with 184k miles on the odo from a farmer who used it for farming (as if it was a Hilux pickup) but being a company car all services were done.

Changing from Bridgestone's to Falken's

bear in mind that my06 was used as if she was a pickup by a farmer up North for about 7 years -
to my humble understanding to disconnect the battery for say about 30min. but make sure that you have your radio security code (if needed) before you unbolt the - (negative / black) pole of your batterey!

indeed check the red circles of my picture. there is a drain hole on the bottom on the front of the side skirt what can be blocked so mud can't come out. at my06 off-side i took about 2 hands full of mud out of it! :o -
i bet that the virgin media engineers don't even know what network latency is :o when i was network / security admin at Codemasters on-line this was one of the things i kept an eye on as very important for gamers... problem with virgin media and most other ISP is they filter all their network traffic with crap boxes like Blue Coat / Barracuda etc the times of free Internet is already gone i'm afraid :(

i think that the previous owner of my06 did the same. found life ammunition under the passenger seat and lots and lots of mud in the side skirts just behind the front tires, rear wheel arches & rear bumper just behind the rear tires. these are areas to keep an eye on as mud will collect and stay there to generate some rust! so keep it clean IMHO. something the prevous owner didn't do. sorry no pictures as my hands were full of mud :o -
had adsl before what is fine as long you live close to the BT exchange swiched to virgin media as our next home was too far from the BT exchange giving too many drops and bad speeds customer service from virgin media is shocking as the rest of the scumbags and their forum is even worse! but the good news is they have shops and there you can speak with real people to sort out your issues. if not, you can always modify the building a bit to make your point clear :o at 19/2/2014 we are getting again virgin media broadband as they messed u my mobile phone stuff and got some discount on the broadband as goodwill B)
