  5. that's where my name comes from ;) and only a couple hours flying Singapore is nice place to hang out for a couple days. check my Google+ page with lots of pictures

  9. you could have bought it from me at the dealer :o i must say that the sales man, kevin told me that some local had interest in the dog guard but he didn't want to take it out. i told him that i don't want to have smelly dogs even come close to my 'new' car still working to get the smell of; dogs, goats, sheeps, hay, mud out of my car...
  10. MY06 has the same green lightiing, still in working order thou. the bulb looks like an ordinary 3mm 12v bulb you can find in many 'old' CB radio rigs. so if you have some laying on the loft some smoke & solder is on oder to fix it
  11. i bought my Forester in Consett not that far away from Durham. anyway the rack i had was not bolted on anything, it clamps beteen the rear wheel strud covers and the ceiling. At the top of the frame is a tube with screws to extent the tube and putting pressure so wouln'd move. not sure to explain it more and as i sold it to a guy in Hull i can't make any pictures.
  12. i'm not sure if the one i have can do that; autel_al319.pdf
  13. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm apologize accepted!
  14. my late Kia Sorento did that too. there is something to say for as with AC on the screen will quickly be damp free. with a trick you could disable that function writen on the German Sorento forum.
  15. with mine i can disable the AC if i just press the AC knob briefly (light off). no matter at what temp i set the temp dail AC wouldn't come on in this mode.
  16. i don't know if your system is the same as mine MY06? i can set the dails on Auto and then chose a temp like you do at home. the two dails with direction and AC can be set on auto too if you press and hold them for a couple seconds till the light flashes, now the system works fully automatic and can switch the AC on if needed. to preserve your AC use it for some minutes (15?) every months to keep the seals lubricated. it's actually a good idea to have the AC on with a cold morning (heater on hot) to get rid of the damp on the windscreens quicly. i personally have it always on full automatic as i'm lazy
  17. They do that on my 'old' Hilux forum; http://www.hpoc.co.uk/community/index.php?showtopic=37750 Meki is the guy who makes them
  18. could do but better on a nice warm summer day as cold plastic just breaks very easy :o
  19. just make sure all your lights are clean and clear of mud so you don't give them any reason to take their little book out ;)
  20. when trying to remove plastic trim make sure it isn't to cold as that has a bad effect hence breaking clips etc
  21. winter -> salt from the gritters -> heavy corrosion. so probably both cable & release catch in need of grease
