  1. Jump started it cos the battery went flat overnight. Fooking lemon.
  2. It leaves a lot of black/silver marks and they are really really difficult to remove. That's with curing times ranging from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. I've done the bonnet, my shoulders hurt and I think it looked nicer pre waxing. I think I might not use it anymore and get a synthetic to be honest.
  3. Polish first then wax after. Using Angel Wax AG which I have to say I've not enjoyed using at all.
  4. Using Maguiars polish. There is no way I'm waxing it in the sun shine though :)
  5. My old MKII Escort. Where I lived you came down a hill, took a sharp right (almost back on yourself) then up another hill (which was my street). Every single time I'd come down the hill (quickly) slap it into second, lock it up with the clutch, turn in, power on sideways back up the hill. I'm a good driver but that was a: stupid b: showed a total lack of mechanical sympathy.
  6. Washed it again, polished and waxed one side (the one in the shade).
  7. Your car is filthy in case you didn't know :)
  8. Fitted a new forester door logo on the passenger door which had a bit of a respray to fix a parking dent.
  9. Microwave is basically a bubble you control the size of and is not affected by air currents etc. It needs a body of water to set it off (a person). I like em because you don't have to have those ugly ultrasonic sensors, you can hide the microwave module away in the roof lining or under a carpet. I guess you are talking about proximity sensors if you are talking about vandalism. When I was in the trade we did quite a lot of those with the Clifford systems and they worked flawlessly. It is all in the fitting and setup.
  10. Drove to golf and back (120 miles) felt great to be back in the car, also filled up again. Last tank gave me 23.8 MPG :o
  11. All back together at last, gave it a bit of a clean and polish. Still waiting for my wax to turn up from Angel Wax so that'll have to wait till next week.
