Rear suspension thoughts
This is an interesting thread.Sorry if im hijacking your post but I also want to do away with my sls rear suspension.Where is the ebst place to get non sls suspension struts from.Is there a certain model of car I have to get them from and can I fit lowering springs to these as well.

The Forester Turbo
Been a while since ive updated this.Since the new Caliper going on I upgraded the fuel pump to a 290 lph pump made by Sward. It was fine for a few weeks and things went sour with the pump to the point the Rac had to come out because I couldn't start it again.i was told it was a faulty pump and I was sent out a new one the next day. From there it was great again and a few days later I got a strage miss fire lol and couldn't track what it was.No eml came on the dash and it was so annoying.I tried a new lambda sensor and it wasn't that either. In the end it turned out to be a dodgy ht lead on cylinder number 1 lol.So ive got it to sit properly for now till Saturday when I will fit my new leads and gap my spark plugs down to 0.7.Ive also got some new front drop links ive been meaning to fit for over a month.next mods on the list are to lower the car nice and proper the way it should be.been looking at a few different set ups like a kit that does away with the rear self levelling shocks. :D

Manually Reading ECU Codes
I found the fault in the end.it was a dodgy ht lead on cylinder 1 .new ht leads picked up today

Manually Reading ECU Codes
if its the black wires that just need going together and the check light flashes constant then I have no fault yet my car hiccups every now and again like a misfire. And ive even changed my pump back to the original pump just to test so im stumped

Manually Reading ECU Codes
What do you mean by a function test. When I plug green and black wires the fan kicks in but if its just black wires there is no fan starting or clicking of the wires.A little confusing.Im not a sparky lol
-
Manually Reading ECU Codes
Well with both the green and black connectors connected together the fan kicks in and the relay clicks and my engine light doesn't do anything not even a flash.or am I doing it wrong
-
Manually Reading ECU Codes
So to clarify a few things. If I plug the 2 black wires together and the check light flashes continuously there is no fault. If the black wires are connect and the fan kicks in and the relays click there is a fault? when I plugged the green and black wires together the relays and the fans started operating .But if I just plugged the black one together the check light just flashed constant with no change.

Manually Reading ECU Codes
Am I listening for the fan for the code or the click of the relay?

Im very interested in the ecu mate. Can you tell me more about it.And how would I no if it would work on my Subaru forester turbo which is a 2000 model on a W plate. Is there any numbers on the ecu or anything I need to look out for.I have the 2 litre engine as well

Lambda sensor
Ive replaced the lambda sensor but because there is a fault already I don't think it would reset it automaticly so ive disconnected the battery for a while.Ive also clean the maf with electrical contact cleaner there was flys on the gauze lol so cleaned them out. Also cleaned the ht leads to coil pack with the cleaner I did do other ends yet because of the access to it and !Removed! weather.

Lambda sensor
I only changed the pump because im after a remap and didnt want the pump to fail.ive still got my old pump but when i removed the old pump there was no filter on the end how ever it did work fine before hand

Lambda sensor
This all started from a fuel pump i got from a group buy a 290lph.it was ok for the few weeks then the car started spluttering and alsorts.restarted and it was fine.i went round a corner in trafford park and the car started spluttering again.so i pulled over in to a bus stop and thought what the !Removed! was that about.i thought carnt be the pump because its brand new.i tried starting the car and nothing.short story rac came out and tapped the tank and the car sprung into life.im told its a faulty pump and the rac man followed me home.a replacement pump came and its a million times better just every now and again i get this missfire but as you move its gone and drivez really well
-
Lambda sensor
At one point you could see the engine shaking then it stopped and drove fine
-
Lambda sensor
My plugs are a month old gapped at factory setting of 0.8 .

Lambda sensor
Hi Stanton i tried looking for these conectors and couldnt find any at all.may be i was looking in the wrong place. Mr b cheers for your input.i ordered the right sensor saturday and picking it up this evening. To add to this my missus she can smell fuel on start up.and every now and again you get a whiff of it in traffic and when i reverse onto the drive.ive looked at the tip of my exhaust and there is a bit of light black carbon effect on it.
