The lambda sensor looked like it had a bit of what looked like a white powdery effect on it and a light black substance.the maf was replaced at subaru last yr by the last owner.my code reader wont read my car so ive no idea.when the maf is unplugged while the car is running it has a fit so i no its working.the fact there is no cel light when i disconect the lambda is weird and runs the same as when it was plugged in.
How do I no if my lambda sensor Is dead. The reason I ask is every so often at the lights I get a little miss fire coming from the exhaust but when I pull away it drives fine.No check light comes on.I went to euro car parts to buy the lambda sensor I only have one sensor and brought it home to fit.I removed my old sensor and went to fit my new sensor to find the end of the plug was different. So I refitted my old lambda sensor and for strange reason I forgot to connect the multi plug but didn't notice this till today.I started the engine after fitting my old sensor and still no check light I even drove it round and its still doing the same thing. Its not all the time just every now and again.Still no check light. This morning when I popped the bonnet I was like fu** I didn't connect the multi plug back for the lambda sensor so I did and still no check light and it still drives the same as well. When I turn my ignition lights on my check light is there and turns off when engine is running as it should so I no it works.Im wondering if my lambda is dead because if its plugged in or it isn't nothing happens just occasionally I get this miss fire as before
Ive ordered the newage power steering set up now so should be with me soon.I might need a fitting though to join pipe work together though as this is going on a forester
Ive only got a 2 litre.I was thinking that the 3 breather pipes that go to the air intake pipe are just switched to a catch tank.My reason for looking into this mod is for better breathing for the Subaru and bigger outlet for flow with out restrictions and any boost leaks that can happen between the turbo and maf.Im after make a solid intercooler type pipe with a piece of silicone hose either end to mount on to
Hi mate have you move the pipes from the air intake pipe to turbo to the catch can and what have you done with the air intake pipe to blank the out lets off
My idea is to fit a bigger bend lol. When I said blank the other bits off I was trying to explain what I was after.Do I just move the pipes from the air intake pipe to a catch tank then.Does anything need adding to the sump
Has anyone done this mod.I have the breather pipes going to the air intake pipe on my turbo do I stick these breather pipes that are going to my air intake pipe to the oil separator and blank my air intake pipe off.Im doing the blob eye powersteering pipe mod in the next few weeks so my power steering tank will be remote so I can fit a bigger air intake pipe and fit a metal version of the pipe.
Its this one im after just not paying all the extra money for postage for a cap lol

I changed the rear discs on the forester this evening. They was heavily pitted, slightly warped and made squealing noises lol.I also clean the rear shoes and surrounding areas with brake cleaner as well :D
I reckon Simon could have lost another second from the launch as well.As Simon took off it sort of moved to the side and looked like Simon backed off a little to gain control again.I reckon that could have been a 8 sec run :D
I think im gonna remove the aircon.I don't use it any way and never had a car where ive bothered with ac.Was there any subarus that came with out ac from factory
Not sure how the car would start better lol.Do you leave the aircon on when you start the car in the morning lol.I do agree with the other person post about better airflow through the rad if the aircon rad wasn't there
