  1. Have you considered eBay? https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/19056834021 May fit? I don't have any knowledge of this item (my OB has old-style steering) but if you can find a compatible unit, may help? As for coding, no clue. Out of my depth on that one.
  2. Good luck with doing hg yourself. **** luck it's happened that the 3.0 is suffering hg in the first place as those motors rarely suffer such failure. I understand doing a 3.0 hg replacement is serious work - have you've previously done this sort of work so realise exactly what you are getting yourself into?
  3. You say it is mapped. Does that printout not tell you?
  4. Welcome and good luck. Avoid that era of Subaru diesels as they are known to have serious engine failures.
  5. I'd not jump the gun. Someone here should know more about Foresters than me.
  6. I wonder if the car has passed an MOT as failures can come if the MIL is on at time of test. Assume you've checked transmission fluid level as needed? Did the lambda sensors get changed before or after the faults appeared?
  7. Sure about that part number? It doesn't follow the Subaru naming protocol.
  8. Part number 63160AG001 or 63160AG000. Try dealers/agents?
  9. Alarm sensors
  10. Is the car temperature within normal range/s when this happens? If the temp gauge isn't consistently at the "9 oclock" position when running, you may have bigger problems. Is the thermostat you installed oem (Subaru) or generic? When you fill the radiator do you burp the cooling system to ensure no trapped air remains as these cars can be tricky in this regard.
  11. Still trying to find another home. I'll post to a more general audience if no-one here wants?
  12. I'd expect to see the reservoir near the offside front strut tower. Left hand side as you view the engine.
  13. I have a m30 instructions booklet if useful?m30 booklet.pdf
  14. I'm offering 4 Subaru wheels fitted with good condition/part worn Hankook i-Sept Evo full winter tyres to anyone who needs/wants, probably as spares or refurb, free to collector from Littlebourne near Canterbury. Fit my Outback, 215/60 R16, et +48. Run true and hold pressure reasonably well, very good tread on all 4 of the set. Wheels are grubby. Tyres are exceptional considering they're manufactured in 2012. Check pictures. No longer needed as winters since changed to all seasons. Need gone soon as moving house late February. If no takers I will dump them which seems a waste. I dont mind letting them go completely free but will not ship or otherwise pack.
  15. Hi. I'm trying to adjust my headlights using the adjustment screws. Did you turn the screw clockwise or anticlockwise (viewed from the engine side) to raise the lights? Does it take a lot of turns to make a visible shift? Cheers!
  16. Welcome to the forum.
  17. Good luck on this forum if that is how you react when someone asks relevant questions. If you don't realise my questions are relevant to your problem you are too stupid to own a Subaru. End of conversation.
  18. A couple of questions - did you fit a genuine Subaru thermostat or a generic, and did you burp the cooling system afterwards properly? On the matter of "no help" - best to have patience and consideration for all of us, some of whom may have far more pressing life problems going on than to jump to reply to you?
  19. @AndyLevorg - thanks for the info. Much appreciated, I did not know about the measuring differences.
  20. Thanks folks. Still baffled - if age related I could expect the newer car to be cheaper, and if emissions related I wouldn't expect the newer one to be ULEZ compliant? Both cars were 3.0 and UKDM.
  21. Thanks. How come then that my 2007 is pricier than my previous 2006?
  22. CT is ok but we've only been down this way for around 9 months so maybe too early for a quality opinion except the traffic is worse than I've ever known and everywhere are roadworks narrowing lanes to widen payments and cycle lanes, apart from one-ways and pedestrianised routes. On the fogs question, saying the front fogs haven't worked since you tried the rears, random thought is to check the tailgate/hatch wiring looms inside the rubber boots between the body and the hatch. Near the right hand hinge especially. Habitual opening and closing the tailgate causes the wires to fray or break, shorting stuff out. Maybe?????? You've checked both fuse panels, assume?
  23. You know that in order for the fogs to work, at least the park lights need to be on as well?
