Well today the check over didn't go as well as hoped there was numerous small things wrong simple repair but then there was 2 major issues that i am waiting on a quote to repair , the exhaust has a large hole around the gasket and the big problem is it needs a new diff :( the turbo has been called lazy also and the there is an oil and gearbox leak at the end of all this it needs remapped All this aside the car is 21 years old (older than me ) and has done 95000 miles so what i really would like to know from any other classic owners or other experienced scooby owners is it worth keeping? how long could it last? -
cheers for the help , things didn't go to well when it had a checkup so the money will instead be spent elsewhere sadly

I have decided to go ahead and respray my classic mean eye impreza i am going to completely modernize the car to make it look new including the new subaru badges , i want to spray it black as i think it will go really well with the red leather interior but i am one of those people who wants my car to always look immaculate and I've heard black is such a hard colour to maintain but does it really look that bad? any black scooby owners want to give me some tips that would be great also any more ideas on how to modernize the car would be great , thanks

Well my new impreza is currently booked in for a 6 point check and rolling road for the 1st of june and if all goes well i want to restore it to full glory starting with the paint , struggling to find anywhere that will do a full respray in a different colour (black) , my brother has sprayed a few cars fully and they have came out great but its very time consuming and neither of us really have time to do this new scooby so basically does anyone know of a good place for a full respray including changing the colour? any help would be great as i want this looking like a brand new impreza and keep it as a classic car

I have a 1.5 R subaru hatchback 08 which i adore but is just not quick enough , i also have a 2.0 turbocharged first generation impreza 94 which i love the power but i prefer the newer subaru styling. Basically what i want to know is it possible to get my turbocharged 2.0 engine swapped into my hatchback or am i dreaming? any help on this would be much appreciated there is a picture down below of the 2 cars to avoid any confusion , cheers

The sti is far more expensive to run especially as i do long motorway journeys often and yes it does have limited features as its from 1994 but its the power of it that i love where as my hatchback has all the comforts you need but no power being a 1.5 na Timmyjk7 - yeah i work in lille barracks not far

Ok so I bought a new Subaru 94 import wrx Sti it's fast like 300bhp fast and now I'm not so sure what to do with my 1.5 hatch which I still have and love , any ideas how to choose ?

Attempting to turn my 1.5 into a complete custom , looking at some pedals on ebay from an 08 impreza and want to know if they would fit my 07 hatchback also what is a good price to pay for these?

I have a NA subaru which i have bought a bonnet with vents in and the alternator is getting rust on it , any ideas in how to solve this?

Got a problem tinting the rear windows and need to know if the 1.5r hatchback 07 will have the same rear windows as an sti hatchback ? any ideas?

I have a impreza 1.5 R can anyone tell me what does the R mean or stand for? also can anyone tell me if the 1.5 07 has the same body as the 2.5 turbo hatchback?

Sorry this is my first car so abit new to all this , what do you mean when you say my car is n/a? I have a new air filter put on for the intake system but not sure what else to do ? the wheels and Tyers are still as standard so i will be fixing that shortly and hopefully getting a seconds hand set of break pads and disks from a wrx if any of you know if they will fit my car please let me know. The exhaust system is also being changed to a single pipe rather than having all the silencers it has on at the moment

I am 18 and own an impreza 1.5 R and would like to upgrade it to a better performance car , my brother has a evo 10 and is helping me out but i would like some advice where to start. The looks are sorted it now has a carbon fibre bonnet to give it the aggressive look as seen on my picture but i need advice now on what to do next to physically make it faster louder and basically starting its steps towards being a WRX. The picture is the before and after from when i first got it and now. Any advice would be great
