  1. Welcome to the club!
  2. Beautiful sunshine down here.
  3. Filters: http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info.asp?id=5564 Belt and pump: http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=10719&cat=96⊂=97&sec=143&var=25&dc=0&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart= I didn't go for the tensioner and pulleys because they had been changed on last belt change. Others will recommend doing them anyway. Ultimately the choice is yours [emoji4]
  4. I'd highly recommend import car parts. You could have a chat with opie oils and they will advise you on oil. They're an excellent company full of helpful people.
  5. I place my hand at the contact point so it acts like a cushion.
  6. That's quite a dint there.
  7. I was in the same position when I bought mine. The belt had only done 20000 miles but was 6 years old.
  8. You'll have to give me a walk through later. When we all getting on? I'll be about 6:30
  9. That'll be me tonight.
  10. Did it cost about £8 from a very large store beginning with A and ending with rgos?
  11. Yeah I'll be online wasting a whole evening trying to get online but not actually doing anything [emoji20]
  12. You bought a new scoob and haven't added pictures? [emoji32]
  13. Yeah just hoping the confrontation is enough for them to admit it.
  14. In 792? I'm gonna have a good hunt for the culprit first. There's a couple of dicky drivers I have a rough idea who it could be.
  15. Yup so far can't find the car that done it. Most are out to work. I'll have a hunt when I'm home [emoji35]
  16. Also wants to be seen as "one of the people"
  17. time to hunt for the culprit. I live in a dead end road and they only got that far if they live there. Dirty crooks I didn't even see it till I got to work. Sent the missus out on the hunt this morning.
  18. Not too bad. Just need to take the rads out the way for space. Couple of glory pics [emoji12]
  19. Easy enough job. I'll do it myself next time. I was mainly worried about the belt and timing.
  20. Pump and belt was £76 I had it done by family friend/mechanic. Full service cost me £100. In total it was about £260 for oil + filter, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, belt and pump.
  21. I have 16 standard wheels on. I may just have my wheels painted and keep standard size. Was looking at 17 but not sure I'll really notice it. First thing I done was cambelt water pump and full service. Have a look on importcarparts.co.UK for parts as they're very cheap. £12.50 for air/oil/fuel filters as a bundle. Opie oils are spot on for oil. Really good company. Good prices and full of great advice. Likewise the forum is full of knowledgable people. Most more than I [emoji38] I just hang on to the apron strings.
  22. Mine -was- standard [emoji12] a few days ago. They're good cars when looked after.
  23. Welcome to the club! Lovely little classic there.
  24. This is right on my doorstep. I'll keep an eye on it.
