Brimmed tank with nitro, took it to work(double pay :) and tomorrow too) 6am-6pm oh yeh,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :( Call at 6.30am,mate got left by not being picked up(other mate over slept). Left work and nipped 3 mile up road to pick him up,time is money..........So he had a ride in the sub,got some nice 4wd drifts around trafford park roundabouts on boost.................he was silent which to me = :D I never get tired of not growing up :P

Cracking pics :) all very good B) Say for example the 1st rock pic(as rock closer up),say someone was sat on it,you could lower the F stop(lower F stop-lower depth of field)and compensate by increasing shutter speed to blur the background from subject. So your subject in focus, back ground out of......... Cheers ven

Never liked the version previous tbh, looks smart in the sti guise though......,but that is just stunning, like the way subaru are going again. Big congrats again, really do like that a lot, maybe in 10yrs i can afford one without re-mortgaging B) B) B) B) B)

Hi people my names del just bought my 1st wrx bugeye
ven replied to delboi's topic in New Members Introductions
With you on that ,try sneaking 6k+From To Too much to list Going to be sensible this time as will end up with an sti or rs4 next . Do like in keeping tbh ,after spoiler, high level sti one and wheel refurb I will possibly get a map...... Other than a new gps double din unit that's it this time. No point in bigger turbos unless it breaks soon lol ,daily chariot so need it drivable. Been there and got the bad back from messing with big rims and lowering .......not to mention dinged rims! I find it spot on for my needs tbh, don't get me wrong, imho 350hp is the magic number for me but too much ££££. Easier to get an sti! -
Well a far away friend vinh got his stingray early on(different hours as Seattle) and wow what a stunner. 8-) Few pics to share and a little vid Before unwrapped Then came back later to pick up Not bad for a 30yr old who mods torches :)

Look forward to the pics then, yes the boss has all the gear. Had studio so all the lighting to cameras etc. What she does not know is not worth knowing.(working with pro togs for almost 20yrs) I have a 550d with grip to play with that she gave me as not good enough for her. She had a d300 and 18-200vr ,but stolen! but once back from Nikon ,she will have a d3x which is a big beast . Trouble is I find the big cameras get left at home due to size etc . Luckily mobile cameras are not too bad these days and always with us,so very convenient. I usually have a "glove box camera" for ease and little holidays . Last one I bought was the canon power shot sx220hs which takes good pics.(few years back now) Also good for hd vids too, shame battery lasts 15mins of recording ......(I have 5 spare batteries ) Yes practice is key ,down side is crap weather forecast so far over bank holiday.......so good luck finding a gap in the weather. Cheers Ven

IMO no need,as said drive slow for last 1/2 mile or so,or when parked after a (on boost run ie motorway)drive, let it idle for 30 seconds........thats my turbo timer. Enough time for the turbo to slow and not fry any oil thats there as its spinning 100k rpm. As said insurance do not like them............or so i have found when asked years back!

Hi Ethan, another fan of the classic, hope you get sorted soon :) My 1st sub ,had mine around 6 months to and love it. Had a big 4x4 for years,so always wanted a nippy awd motor and so my journey begins :)

Endless examples,if you give me a specific picture,i will try and advise roughly the settings. My advice is play about, experiment, anything bellow 1/60th sec shutter requires a tripod for stability. Play with F stops, play with shutter speeds. Now for example taking a pic at night, you want a sloooooooow shutter speed to allow as much light in as possible. This would req a tripod(can pick one up for £20) or will be blurred.......... Now your a pro tog :P .............i look forward to your pics The above is very basic and a start, there is too much info/guides to fill up books tbh...........but its a start ;)

Program mode instead of manual settings is a good start to learn, using dedicated flash gun for example. F stop-depth of field, for example f5.6/f8 much brighter pic than f16 or f22 This also co-insides with your shutter speeds,so a 2nd example would be 1/60th of a sec at F8 would give a darker pic than 1/60th at F11. But all this amounts to desired pic you want as your F stops effect depth of field and subject your shooting. Lower F stop=more light letting in Higher F stop=less light letting in Shutter speeds, slower allows more light, faster allows less light in.......... Of course faster moving(subaru) would require a faster shutter speed............ iso-lower iso better quality the pic Or use auto mode Dull to medium pic use f8 at 1/60th sec iso 100 would give a great pic :) Bright sunshine ideal f11-f16 depending on how sunny,1/125th sec shutter iso 100 I always shoot on iso 100 for best quality :) Cheers ven :)

Not sure, but have you checked manifold/s ,possibly a fracture or around the turbo area. How is it after a run..........better/worse,does noise get worse under load for example. Any particulate side? maybe winding pass window down, then drivers to help which side whilst driving(just a thought)

Awesome,i am contemplating what colour to have my standard rims done, either a gun metal or anthracite as i think black will be too stealthy Old pic and only one i have close to a side shot but has wheels in Would appreciate it to see what gun metal etc would look like before i end up spending £240 on the wrong colour :) Also a carbon fibre sti type spoiler for rear Be awesome to see if colours look ok or not Cheers ven

Radar detectors - Does anybody still use them?
ven replied to markw's topic in Subaru Audio / Electronics / Security
So guys ,as a well priced decice ,what would you recommend please as I will more than likely invest in one. I have been surprisingly refunded fully without asking(not got to that stage yet as giving a chance .......just the right thing to do). Got message saying sorry not happy, issued full refund (only £25) but all the same professional. Touching wood......ok I am clamping it !!! Never had points or speeding tickets, one reason I have decided to get one to be more aware. More so in Wales where the van is and we know there are some nice roads to drive :-) and over keen with speed! Have an iPhone 6+ If any good apps, could just buy a holder! Was looking at a double din gps but not cheap for a good one...... Worth getting a decent naf sat? (Deliberate and not the iPad ) which has camera locations etc on. Do these pick up mobile units and for example average speed camera that seem to have littered the m60 for example? Links would be great/appreciated :-) Or do I just get the head unit and have a neat all in one device(if it has the software for cameras that is) Just don't want a cluttered dash, case of less is more for me,not a halfords ram raid of stick on dials ,screens and compasses lol Cheers all Ven :-) -
Welcome,if i come across them i will let you know asap and post to you ;)

Just been back in history to last year, checked bought item, clicked on shop and found same http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-01-04-Crystal-Light-Smoked-Side-Repeaters-1-Pair-/161099065843?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item258240a9f3 Might be a generic lens pic , BUT iirc they had sold out thinking back. They messaged me saying they had that type not in stock but will not charge the £2 extra cost over the ones i paid for.........if makes sense. Either way,i was happy with the smoked ones i received, would have been happy with either as i did not look too much into the patterns.
-
In hand, top clear, bottom smoked but its not a real dark smoked(if makes sense). I guess at the colour(slow colour) making it look different and in the light, where as the in hand pic is shadowed by me(blocking a little light) Other angles show imho smoked would look better, little cleaner on the sides, clear do seem to stand out quite a bit(not as much as orange though) Not sure which the smoked are tbh,i just ordered them and the plastic pattern was different to the clear lens pattern.
