  1. Sorry the skirt? I have the spliter already. I have seen people use the skirt as a splitter. -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  2. Friend of mine dose car wraps and I am tempted. Its about £1000 to get it done as others have said but I would do that over a re-spray much quicker to be done and the wrap is tougher than paint so harder to scratch. It also keeps the pain under the car perfect. I have always said if I get a brand new car first thing I would do is wrap it so when I comes time to sell the off comes the wrap and I have perfect paint under it. I know a few people who get there car re-wrapped every year or so just to have something different.
  3. WRX-S has a prodrive kit and STI Spoiler and splitter. You get: Pro Drive back box Pro Drive GT1's (Subaru Center caps) Pro Drive - Remap (Sort of) STI Splitter STI Spoiler Colour coded boot trim. If they are the same money and you dont plan on modding your car I would go for the WRX-S as you get more power around 250-260bhp and a few visual changes that make the car look much better. I have been adding the WRX-S style to my WRX I just need the spoiler. But as soon as you change the exhaust and have a remap the perforce difference from the 2 is gone as they are the same car. I would look at the WRX-S as a styling pack. Its a shame as Pro-Drive could have done a lot more with the car but had to keep the power down as Subaru didn't want it faster than the STI.
  4. I have seen these universal lips before. I was tempted to get on after my STI one got cracked. How ridged are they? Thanks Alex
  5. Tempted to do mine with just a matte black roof got a few marks and bits on there so could cover it up. -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  6. Looks really good Gambit. See you should always listen to me. -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  7. The one thing holding me back is modding the car would lpg something to do after I have finished the car? Or is it not really an issue when it comes to getting remaps and so on? -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  8. I think you need a system called Flash Lube or something like that to help stop your car having problems but from my own research all LPG installs come with that these days so not a big problem. Subaru also sold foresters with an LPG option at factory so sure its not as scary as people make out. That said I am in 2 minds myself, I might be getting it done though shall see what kind of milage I end up doing.
  9. Think I have fixed it :-D The hose coming off the intercooler was so loose when I touched the clip it span round. So pushed it back on and tightened it up and hope thats it for now. Thanks for the help guys. Alex
  10. Ok so it started being when let off boost sounding like a vent to atmosphere bov but it's now doing it when under boost as well. Right I will check all the pipes and see. -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  11. Hi guys, So I think it's the factory bov when driving today and taking the car up to 5-6k in 4th when I pop the clutch in I got a noise it was part squeak part hiss. I found it happens every time the car comes off boost. After driving the misses to hospital today it was getting a little louder and started to make a noise like someone trying to blow up a ballon or something when building up the revs. So I would think its a leaking bov? And simply needs replacing with a 3rd party or subaru part. Anyone got any thought? Looking under the bonnet everything looks done up tight and it's only under full boost as reving it on the drive I don't get the noise. Thanks for any help Alex -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  12. Nice did you get it from Tarmac sportz? And any chance of a sound clip? Thinking about one myself but looks really good. -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  13. The Misses is coming if she can get it off work. Sure she likes cars more than me.
  14. Yer didn't expect much in noise and don't want to hack up the air box so shall leave it for now. No on standard suspension at the moment but going for springs soon I think. Why? -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  15. Fitted my cosworth filter nothing amazing been for a little run around town not sure it sounds much better but I think it feels a little better but sure it's in my head. Still people say stock air box is good for upto 400bhp so no need to go for cone just yet unless I want the induction sound. -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  16. Was it Unity Subaru in Leicester? Thats where mine came from with the problems....
  17. Reduced to £300 -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  18. Kinda of an easy one and I have just gone though this myself with a full engine rebuild paid for by the dealer. In my case subaru. Tell the dealer about the problems and that you need it fixing they have to fix the car, replace it or give you your money back if the fault was in the first 6 months since selling the car and you where not made away of the faults at the time of sale. The key words to use are "Not fit for purpose" If they refuse to do one of the top 3 you can get the car fixed yourself by another garage and charge the dealer for the fix. If you have to go to court you should win without problems. You can get a lot of info from citizens advice as well https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/cars-and-other-vehicles/problems-with-the-car-you-bought/the-car-you-bought-is-faulty/
  19. Most of the cosmetic parts for WRX's / STI's will fit so easy to make it look a little more aggressive. Replacing the hood for a WRX one if you like the scoop. STI spoiler and spliter should do the job as well. Performance wise I am not sure what gains you will get but exhaust and induction cone would give you better sound and some power along with a remap. Just pulling a figure out of the air from modding N/A cars myself you would expect a 20-30hp gain from the 3 mods maybe more with a de-cat.

I was looking for a loud recirculating one and thought that might be a better option. I know you can also get adjustable ones so gives you more option to get a little bit of noise without dumping all the air. -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  22. Xander replied to andyman's topic in General Subaru Chat
Some people run them without problems others have problems. Some people say get a map for it others say don't bother. It's up to you, I don't think it can harm the car but it might not be good for it. I guess it comes down to is it worth the risk for the sounds to you -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  23. Put me down mate :-D
  24. Hi guys So a friend of mine was showing of his new hybrid Lexus that gets 70mpg and £0 road tax. After seeing my almost £500 road tax bill. Now I am not swapping my wrx for a hybrid any time soon but am starting to convince the misses when she gets her test past our second car should be a 60+ mpg car that I can borrow when I have to drive for work. But the though popped up about LPG and if it's something anyone runs on an Impreza for doing distance driving. From what I can tell cost should be about £1200-£1500 for the conversion and take me 2 years to get my money back. So it's not going to be a big saving for me but it's got me thinking so just wanted to see what people thought and if anyone has done it. Alex -- I make Films, Websites and social media for people
  25. Hi Guys, So having no joy selling my alloys and tyres so going to have the tyres taken of the alloys and sell them on there own or in combinations if people want them. I have 2 Bridgestone Potanza's and 2 Turanzas both 17inch in 205/50/R17 They have good grip left and are old off the car due to moving to a set of 18's I am in Louth Lincolnshire, not far from Grimsby or Lincoln so can arrange to meet up or get shipping quotes as needed. Asking £60 a tyre but will do a deal for all 4. Thanks Alex
