Subaru track day - Spa

Paint and clean up time
there is a reason for that - tolerances are not as tight as they used to be its all going a bit slack, a little fluid leakage here and there and the undercarriage has something as yet unidentified attached, don't know if its rust, rot or mange

Subaru track day - Spa
logistically - for a UK party that would be the best start then arrange to meet any mainland chums on the way or at the final hotel

Paint and clean up time

Subaru track day - Spa
Hi all, only just found out about this missed it this year but included the link and some footage. http://www.subarutrackday.com/ This is something I would be interested in as I have always loved watching Spa races on the TV - if you also fancy it let me know and if enough interest is generated we could look at a S.O.C. presence get a pit garage etc.

Hey from Wiltshire!
Running Conti Sport Contact 2's will probably go SP3's when it comes to change In the past I have run Yoko 509's and 510's which were great but had 503's as standard on my Mazda and they were rubbish, little grip in dry worse in the wet and wear rate was high still. Have also run Toyo Proxes T1R's before the conti's, they were very good but the conti's have a better feel in the wet. I wouldn't have an issue running Falkens ran Hankooks in the past and they were ok

SAVE MALLORY PARK!!
Muppets who live close to the race circuit are complaining about noise and looking to get the amount of days the circuit is open reduced - this will force the closure of the circuit Please sign the e petition and redistribute - need 100,000 signatures to have it discussed in Parliament https://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/46739 http://www.mallorypark.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=359&catid=34&Itemid=84

Getting a new sti
Wotcha and welcome Lee :) I believe there is an imports place down your end that has Scoobies - Ill do some digging, I know its there as I ended up driving 4 hours 1 way arriving just outside Hastings to pick up the one in my pic but they had an alternative I was going to look at.

pollen filter
Hi Doris - welcome to the site It is as Gambit says behind the glove box draw, open the draw to its fullest and you can see there is a small retaining bar on the left side - this will just pull off allowing the draw to drop slightly more, it will now be stopped by a plastic post on both sides, there is enough flex in the draw to pull them in wards and allow the draw to drop further its a bit tricky to get them both in and allow the draw to drop all the way. When all the way down the draw will pull away from its hinge at the bottom. The filter is now right in front of you and reminded me of looking at a video cassette, just pull the existing filter out and replace with the new. If you are still stuck I can get some photos tomorrow.

liking the grill - it is an improvement, black angel eyes would be a good choice methinks. question... possible discussion point - does the number plate position affect the airflow into the rad and intercooler, is there a noticeable difference on the temp guage or would it be better to get a bonnet sticker type? I only ask as the front spoilers I am looking at don't really accommodate a number plate that well and it will over hang the intake as well
-
What to look out for.
As Gambit says plus noise from main bearing but Simons is a tempting option ;)
