  1. I think where this forum differs from a few I have seen out there is the positive response to all irrespective of age, mechanical experience and length of time owning / driving or not at all in some cases just having the interest. Some I have signed up to it just seems to be a place where they look for fresh meat to berate and abuse - not what I would like to see here
  2. Thats it as long as you dont sell on or throw away straight away you can always revert - also as you do add more mods some will work well with standard items and wont work as well with other mods so the more you get away from a standard setup you increase the chance of that happening
  3. The closed deck EJ20 will be exactly the same as what you have currently installed its just how the block is made which differs. EJ25 is the same layout but you will have some more sensor points on the engine but the majority of them would be surplus to requirement as you are running a different ecu
  4. I was checking my deodorant :D
  5. That does look a great improvement surprised how shabby the original looks but I guess that is what original model compromise is about, cheaper materials lower cost etc. yup that vid sounds like it will be a smile generator ;)
  6. Fair play to her and as you say clearly committed to achieving her goals
  7. Have a prodrive backbox fitted as part of the PPP dealer install but I know the system will have to be replaced probably next year as a check under the car has show corrosion but teh SS back box is fine. I will probably go for a Milltek as the exhausts are the same size and I like the sound. The H&S doesnt look too big on this picture http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_53 The track friendly cobras are not to large either http://www.cobrasport.com/exhaust/Subaru/Impreza+Turbo+WRX+and+STI+%2801-07%29/31/0/0
  8. I can empathise with that - blew a ton 20 on stuff just after ours arrived - first time using clay bar - didnt think to rinse off after using it though, hot day and it had all dried just went straight to the polish now got !Removed! sap all over the car again (two huge trees outside the house!!) and a normal wash with some branded soap hasn't cleared it so will need to spend some time again - have checked out the da polisher and can see me investing in one of those :)
  9. ??? I moved the thread into the subaru parts for sale section from somewhere else cant remember where but only because it was a part of not a complete car - is this the thread you were referring to?? http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1401-wheels-for-sale-%C2%A3825ono-i-know-theyre-not-subaru-bits-but-i-need-cash-lol/ I left a link to it in the original section as well so you would know where it had gone - apologies I should have dropped you a PM
  10. Wotcha and welcome - great to have you on board any business I can put your way I will do
  11. its always going to be in demand - people are never going to stop having kids ;) so have a great chance of recouping your investment plus if it is always something she has wanted to be its a bonus, one of the few professions where it is genuinely all about the other person so takes a completely selfless individual to even consider it
  12. Thats it - its not all about the size...
  13. You should be fine with either - for peace of mind get a wheel off and see how much space there is between the top of the caliper and the disc, there should be a few mil clearance.
  14. Very tidy - a more subtle approach to things ;)
  15. Wotcha and welcome - It can be true dependant on the calipers that have been fitted According to the EBC site you should be looking at 294 for the front and 266 or 290 for the rear http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/car/parts_disc.asp?part=disc&make=SUBARU&model=Impreza&year=2.0+Turbo+%2898-2001%29
  16. Sticker looks great on the rear window It will be worth it in the long run - what is she studying?
