Not a fan of the gold personally. Get some decent rays on that car lol. Or some proper rally wheels :)

Hi Guys, this is where most of the work on my vehicle was done including the remap which provides a great example of a power/torque graph and how it should be done.
The main fella is Mark and he knows his stuff. Friendly person and very helpful.
Cant say enough good about the place :D

2 seconds on start up? Chances are its just water/condensation in the exhaust. It would be smoking for longer if there was any form of problem I'd expect. Also check your oil and coolant levels and keep note of the levels over a week or two see if they change.

Firstly you need to determine the colour of the smoke, is it blue/grey or a white smoke. That way you know if you are burning oil or water, also does it stop smoking once the engine warms up?

Still put me off owning one for life. It's one car I don't think anyone could try and sell me I'd rather have a Type-R or an Audi A3 and that's saying something
And agree it has to be GTR and I know what you mean they are massive cars and old. So STI it is then ;)
Hell no, def not a honda or a german motor for me. I prefer the power to be there without nailing the car... which is where my WRX is actually really good... shouldn't sell it really but a change is calling to me lol. To get a standard WRX to this level would cost someone a fair bit more than buying one standard and modifying it. Especially with the coilovers and standard of map.

Theres a bit of difference between the Rx7 and Rx8, The Rx7 outdoes the other in every way. Light small motors with plenty of power ;)
I've had a R33 Gts-t before and it was a great car but think I'd only go for a Gtr now. Excellent build quality but they are big old motors lol. Whereas an Sti impreza could still be thrown about down the lanes and with some light tuning be pushing 340bhp.
-
Thanks guys, with it leading upto xmas its unlikely to sell quickly to be fair.
Next motor, either an Sti, RX7 or a Skyline again. I'm also tempted to get an AE86 but the age of them is a put off.

Hi All, I've got my WRX up for sale
It's got a quite a few decent and choice mods including Sti interior, a GB270 spoiler and the car has been remapped by TD racing to 285bhp. In fact it matched a 300bhp Evo8 the other day so the power is certainly there.
The vehicle has BC coilovers and they have been set up brilliantly and are not too hard a ride. The only downside to the car is that its now on 100k mileage but it has full service history and has been well maintained by the previous 2 owners. This is the thread on piston heads should anyone be interested. The price is set at £4500

What model impreza do you have? If it's a classic then probably best going for a front mount but then.. the classics are limited on what the standard build engine can put out anyway so may as well have a top mount lol. A new age is good for 350+ bhp with the Sti top mount.
-
The issue with trying to keep older parts is that bolts and nuts rust and can be a pain in the butt. It depends what you want to do with the car. Do you want more power later or is it just to make a little noise?
If you want power, you'll need to decat the system or invest in a sports cat... personally I've never seen the point in the expense of one.
If you just want some noise, I'd just get a cat back exhaust, decent air filter and leave it at that.
-
No idea to be honest in your area.

I have a boost controller I've disconnected it now after seeing lot's of people killing there cars with them :) but good bit of kit if used right.
They're a must have item for the Skylines generally, I had an apexi Avcr good but not cheap. But then... you get what you pay for :D
-
Bought mine from scoobyworld, decent exhausts to be fair. I've the Ninja 2 back box and the rest of my exhaust is decatted too :D sod the mot lol

Welcome to the forum! Once you start you wont stop with the mods! :D

Very nice choice indeed, welcome to the forum Natalie!

Aye it looks good, I generally just use an aerosol brake cleaner :D
Might have a pop at mine at some point, only the subaru bit. I'm keeping the wrx badge, my cars not going to be 1 of these 'replicas' it'll just be a 285bhp wrx instead :D

Not really, the fuels these days are that thin and full of additives that you shouldnt really need it. Try cleaning the maf sensor just in case? I know they can be a bit 'finiky' at times.
It's not going to be idle control as thats when your coming to a stop rather than accelerating. So as far as we know, ignition is ok, air is ok... just fuel really left to check.
On another note when was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Just thinking if its a little clogged up then on low demand it may not flow enough to supply correctly.
-
How about fuel, what do you use and from where? If your certain the maf sensor is fine theres only so much it can be. Could potentially be coil packs too?
-
Checked the air filter itself?
-
Looks alright.. whats confusing?!

BUMP :D Open to sensible offers. There is also the possibility to return the suspension to standard at which I'd reduce the price a bit, however the car is awesome as it is and handles brilliantly.
