  1. Personally i think Chris Evans would do a good job , he's pretty clued up and passionate about cars , just depends who he was teamed up with
  2. Just noticed your posts total , ya can't leave on 999 !!!
  3. Has anyone got any advice on removing the rear bumper on my 1999 classic uk ? I'm having the rear arches replaced soon so got to get it ready for the work, i'm sure it'll be pretty obvious once i get underneath it but if anyone's done it before any tips/advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. I just sold a Golf diesel to finance my Impreza purchase , you wont go far wrong with it but you will be back !!
  5. Ok mate thanks , don't want to spend my hard earned cash unless i'm 100% certain they'll fit so i'll have to do a bit more digging :)
  6. Here's one for the gurus, I've spotted a set of wheels on flea bay shod with winter tyres, so thinking about my first winter enjoying the Scooby ( I know it's a long way off !!) they are off a wrx 2002 , will they fit my 1999 classic uk turbo , fingers crossed
  7. I would'nt worry about that they would never contemplate swapping the car for a fault such as this , tell them if its not sorted asap your going to trading standards . Its worked for me in the past
  8. Sounds like you've got a bit of a dilemma fella ! As with all modified cars you will never recoup the true value of what you spend on them , there all money pits at the end of the day. You could pick up a half decent classic for under a grand nowadays and with the repairs and remap you could be looking at spending that . And your car would still be worth as much as it was before ya got yer wallet out. Is it worth keeping ? depends how much you've already invested and how deep yer pockets are. How long will it last ? they'll last forever if you keep replacing the broken bits ! It's all down to personal circumstances really, any car approaching 100k is going to need lots of tlc (and cash) so how much do you love your impreza ?? B)
  9. I put the Mintex kit on my X-type Jag , just standard discs not grooved etc . I'd say they are ok performance wise but the discs do seem to be wearing pretty quickly. I paid about £120 for full set , so these may be better quality as they look more performance orientated which is what you need for Scooby.
  10. Sorry mate, couldn't make the "meet" , car not ready (see original post) How did it go ?
  11. Hi there, Had my car a couple of weeks it's a 1999 2000 turbo , got it for the right price but it needs some TLC mostly cosmetic as the engine sounds great (thankfully). Biggest job is replacing both rear arches , then just tidying the bodywork. Two questions, firstly what is the best product for cleaning the fabric seats as the're quite stained. Also i noticed the front calipers are Prodrive items are these standard on my model ? Cheers
  12. Gambit, how does this set up work ?
  13. Hi mate , is that £250 for one side ?
  14. Cheers Jay, You got me thinking now , gonna be recording my progress anyway so might get to post it up as a project when i get used to using the site
  15. I just paid £220 for a pair of rear arch repair panels , so your all inc quote sounds pretty good.
