  1. Hi stants. It is the external molding that runs from front to back.
  2. Can anyone help me with how to remove a roof molding? I've got a 1998 (Classic) Impreza saloon and I need to remove the rear window to sort out some rust. I know I need to remove the roof molding but I can't work out how to do it - I'm not sure how to undo the clips. Any tips? Also any other tips on how to get the window out would be most welcome: I think the window is stuck in and I am planning to use cheese wire to cut the sealant. Does this sound sensible? Thanks,
  3. Cheers bulldog. The easy spots, like the rear wiper, can be a prod to dig a bit deeper with the chassis number. Nice motor, I always like a silver car as I am not so keen on washing mine. However I have seen a pic of a Mica Red scooby and it look fantastic! I don't recall ever seeing one in the fresh.
  4. Thanks guys. The chassis number seems the best way to ensure I get a UK model. The rear wiper, is that on the saloon because I don't think I have ever seen one but then I suppose I haven't been looking! Tidgy, the sti is an idea but I guess the insurance will be more, though they are a great car. I just got to keep on looking ☺
  5. I'm looking to buy a UK spec mid 1990's impreza. How can I tell a JDM from a UK model?
  6. Thanks Martyc for your thoughts, however I never got used to the bug eye, hence wanting an earlier model. I am sure I'll get what I'm after if I am patient!!
  7. It comes down to money and I am under the impression that the older the car the cheaper the insurance and purchase cost!
  8. I am looking to buy a mid 1990's Impreza Turbo. OK so what am I looking for:- Must be UK spec saloon with no modifications, except maybe the exhaust In good condition, without mega miles Ideally with full service history, but a caring enthusiastic owner is more important Not white Not owned by a smoker - can't stand the smell I had one like this up until 2001 when the kids were too long legged to fit comfortably in the back, so it went. :( Now the kids have all but gone I am looking to buy back in to the Impreza experience! :D If you have a cherished scooby that you want to find a good home for then please let me know. I am in the Stafford
