  1. Hi all, a couple of issues. Pictured below is a fitting strap type thing that has gone rusty. I ideally want to replace or if not replace do up. Does anyone have any advice? Also, another picture below shows I have moisture in the light? Is it possible and simple to remove the moisture? I am planning on getting some spares but wanted to know if this is doable. As always, thanks all.
  2. I fancy this although not sure if to short notice. Would be with the family and the Scooby wagon. I guess all the club spaces are taken now though?
  3. Main point for me is location. Don't really want to travel more than a couple of hours with family. Other than that I will go to as many shows as I can. I have struggled to find info on the site about them but have not looked to hard yet.
  4. I was considering a Goodyear Efficient Grip and they have good reviews and are rated quiet.
  5. I know this is not a good suggestion but was considering wearing headphones when I wanted to listen to music in the car. I am aware of the issues and risks though so will not.
  6. Sorry for sounding thick but whats this about? I love shows and will come along to one if not to far away.
  7. How come an aftermarket exhaust? What would be better about it? I sometimes like to listen to music while driving and a reasonable quality. Appreciate all views.
  8. It has a standard exhaust and it does not have a removable shelf but instead a roller blind type cover. These are generally not as quiet as a proper type parcel shelf. I think I will leave it as it is and get used to it. Thanks for replies.
  9. It does have some cheap ish Avon tyres on. I also know that estates/wagons are more noisy. Trim is a little noisy but not bad and the engine is fine, I like that sound.
  10. Ok, will take a look. I like the engine noise but road noise is pretty loud. I am ok with it. Assume the wagon is harder to keep quiet anyway.
  11. Hi all, simple question I hope. Will a decent sound system cover up the general Scooby noise. My classic is loud inside. Engine sounds nice but the road noise itself is loud. I sometimes like this but at times would like to listen to something else. Would a good sound system take the other noises away. Normally drive modern cars which are super quiet so new to me. All and any thoughts welcome.
  12. I am thinking replacing it may be to big a job for me. As it goes into the roof space from the tailgate.
  13. Thinking I may repair it instead. Should I use? This http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4MM-WINDSCREEN-WASHER-HOSE-JOINER-PIPE-CONNECTOR-INLINE-REPAIR-5-32-/351004060714?hash=item51b978ec2a or this http://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repair/adhesives/harris-pipe--hose-repair-tape-25mmx3m
  14. Well I found the reason why the rear washer was not working well. There is a split in the tube, it is where the tube goes into the tailgate. No idea how to change it though, does not look like it can be repaired as split all the way around and hanging on only just. Not at home at the moment to check but would this tube be ok? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4mm-BLACK-SILICONE-WINDSCREEN-WASHER-JET-HOSE-5-32-TUBE-/260737807743?hash=item3cb52f357f Reference the rear wiper not working I thought I would try replacing the relay located n/s rear near under light cluster. Problem is I cant get it out. Wife has tried with smaller hands and it will not budge. Is there some knack to it? Slowly figuring things out.
  15. Its a question the ladies normally ask me, first time I have had to ask others though ;)
  16. Well figured out why the rear washer is not working well. Had a good look around and wondered why the boot was a bit wet. Looked at the tube from the body to tailgate and that was fine. Then removed the o/s light access door and it was soaked inside. Not good for lights!!! Anyway, was doing this in the dark so cant see where the leak is yet but it looks like somewhere along that tube. Not looked under the car yet as have a bad back. At least I have an idea now. Still no clue on the rear wiper itself though. Not sure if to change the relay now I have found it. It clicks on and off so not sure if that means its working. Appreciate all the help.
  17. Umm, have figured out reference the rear wiper the washer does work although just dribbles out a bit plus I can here a click sound when I turn the wiper on. It clicks when I turn it on just the once. Hope this makes some sense.
  18. Really helpful folk here so welcome and good luck.
  19. Excuse the title How do I get this clip thing back into the hole, been trying for ages and manage to get half of it in.
  20. Cheers Matt, what adapter rings do you suggest? No idea and no good with mdf. Also like the look of these speakers and head unit. Not sure if they would fit though? Also not sure if to get an amp and/or sub etc. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008N53RU4/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=G9D0U3PGDN6I&coliid=I3XRX9SAULI77 http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008N53N26/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=G9D0U3PGDN6I&coliid=IJMDA4TTHJCCH http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00RXHCEG6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=G9D0U3PGDN6I&coliid=I2Q5Z37QIJ2PO9
  21. Something like these? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JVC-600-WATTS-6-5-Inch-16cm-Dual-Cone-Car-Van-Door-Dash-Shelf-Speakers-Pair-/371382435088?hash=item56781e3d10 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JVC-600-WATTS-6-5-Inch-16cm-Dual-Cone-Car-Van-Door-Dash-Shelf-Speakers-Pair-/371382435088?hash=item56781e3d10
  22. It is funny, they look at my classic wagon and think they can take it easily lol. Only had it a week and been there 3 times. Close to our Mcdonalds too.
  23. Welcome Zippy. Nice looking car :) I have to admit I like driving around where our local boy racers hang out. They then drive to the traffic lights with two lanes and always want a little fun. I cant say no lol. Bit sad. I only take it up to the speed limit though.... Honest officer, I do!!
