  1. Cheers for all the replies. Some of the people rave about ONR (Optimum No Rinse) on Detailingworld.co.uk http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=195294 I will however only be using a quick detailer if at all as suggested. I am just looking for an easier way of cleaning really as my back kills me. I don't want to keep paying for the locals to clean it either. Do a crap job half the time.
  2. Welcome to the forum and hope your Forester issues get sorted.
  3. I have not bothered replacing heat shields that have come off cars in the past. I once had a low down celica and it came off while driving. Never replaced, no issues with mot or anything really. Welcome to the forum.
  4. Nice budget so spend your time and money wisely. A Scooby is of course the ultimate car so good luck in finding a gem.
  5. Hello and welcomes. Nice Scooby you have there.
  6. Any sort? No sure how it would go up against a muddy car. Always think it would scratch. Cheers for response.
  7. Hi all, wondering if anyone has tried any waterless wash products. I am interested in trying out. I struggle to use a hose round my way most of the year round so am interested in views. I am pretty decent with detailing but since my back got broken am now struggling a tad so looking at different options. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks all.
  8. Got hold of Martin from Sheffield. Price is more expensive but includes the fly wheel, kit and fluid. Are these extras needed when changing the clutch? Thanksall.
  9. Not managed to get through to the Sheffield guys, phone keeps just ringing but will keep trying. AS performance were helpful. They suggest Pink box which are on back order till November however got blue box for £30 more. Appreciate all the advice.
  10. Nice one thanks Stants. Don't mean to sound picky and ask but like to know that's all. For example asking for a discount lol. And yes the forester is rolling at 270 bhp so a good level under 300.
  11. Yeah, no problem getting home thanks stants. Left it running when I got home and fans came on and not a blip in temp so no idea. Will mention it to Tim but been out again today and seemed ok. Strange but thanks for asking.
  12. No worries Gambit, nice to meet you none the less. Said hello to a few people who were all pleasant. It was an action packed day for sure.
  13. How come Gambit? Does he offer a SOC discount or something? Will call but interested in knowing why the recommendation. Appreciate it though and thanks.
  14. Nice pics, great selection of vehicles on our stand.
  15. Are you the guy with the baby and your Mrs (Black Impreza with no tail). If so good to meet you and wife enjoyed having a chat with your Mrs. Cheers.
  16. Lovely show and great to meet so many of you. Whole family enjoyed it. Drive back was fun as well, was a tad naughty on a few occasions. She can shift!! Kind regards all.
  17. Mine was clean yesterday, it will be dirty by the time I get there tomorrow lol.
  18. Should have also said I am after some headlights for the car aswell. Again, not sure if any deals to be had at the show. I thought not reference clutch but worth a shot. Found this one so far > http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Subaru_Forester_2.5_2006/p/car-parts/car-transmission/clutch-and-associated-parts/clutch-kit/?641802140&1&599cfe295ce9a112ab19084c0bfe31c61742c0c2&000069 Appreciate the input.
  19. Hi all, I knew the Forester clutch was high when I got it and needs replacing soon ish. Just wondering best places to try for a 5 speed 05 Forester push clutch. Cheers. Phil. PS. Would there be any deals at the Japshow tomorrow? Cheers. Phil.
  20. Welcome to the forum. Good bunch on here.
  21. Just picked the Forester up and brought her home. I like the sound of the dump valve as never heard it on the Impreza as original panel air filter. One thing I noticed. If I was kinda accelerating and the turbo cutting in as foot down to a medium level it would make a kind of sshhh noise. I take it this is the turbo kicking in and or spooling. When doing this no noise comes out like when putting the foot right down and then when releasing the turbo dumps. Sorry for terminology as do not understand turbo and such things. Just wanting to check. Hope I am making some sense.
  22. I will be in my Forester for its maiden voyage. Requires a little body tidying but still in good enough condition for the stand. Looking forward to it.
  23. I admit its not to far but 57 miles from me. Anything more than an hour with the kids is long ish for me. Takes about an 1 hour 20 mins from me. I will be getting there between 8 and 8.30.
  24. Tickets on Japshow website say £12 online advance plus £2 booking fee however when you go to the site for booking and paying the tickets it says £16??? Easily confused. Also, Gambit do you have the spare pass?
  25. Lovely, how much will the pass be for the car to be on the stand? Would I pick it up there or what? All the questions, I feel like a royal pain in backside.
