  1. I see your owl... And raise you a Rocky!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Plenty more random stuff like that to come don't you worry [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. And just because I can, here's a picture of a seal that looks remarkably like a potato, or vice versa depending on your personal preference ..... And I shall probably add the odd random picture or two just to keep the thread alive until such time as a clean crisp £20 (or a crumpled unloved one I'm not fussy) is lovingly delivered to myself [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I've got a blob-eye GX (non turbo) and do 60/100 miles a day in it and it never misses a beat and is really rather comfy to drive. The WRX's and STI's have nicer interiors and more supportive seats and I've never heard people complain about aches or pains after driving long distance but that the boils down to personal preference. The space in the car is surprising and is basically the Swiss-army-knife of the 4 wheel world... The boot is large enough for a good monthly shop or approximately 2 body bags depending on usage, there's plenty of leg room for the passengers, unless you're in my height bracket of around 6'4" in which case the only way someone is getting behind you is if they are absurdly skinny or have no legs ... All in all, get one, love one, never drive anything else again [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Well the touch screen doesn't work on this thing any more and it just does traffic announcement searches every 2 minutes... I'd almost (almost) be happy with a jap unit [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well the easiest way would probably be to swap the knob to an auto one (how you'd achieve this I've no idea) but you may also need to swap the actual shifter rod to an auto for the knob to fit... That would be working on the premise the selector rod would still operate correctly as the linkage is completely different between auto and manual ... Dare I ask why you'd like to do this? I've known people to convert manual to auto but not the other way around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I'm keeping the green theme going inside the car now as I've plasti-coated some of the trim round the head unit just need to do the cup holder next ... Please ignore the naff unit and sketchy cutout as I bought the car with it and am slowly fixing the problems, on that note, anyone got a vaguely decent head unit taking up space that they want shot of?? [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Today was the day I fixed my broken **** exhaust system!! It's now back to factory cats and straight from there ... It's not what I wanted but needed to be done as a rush basis as the pictures will explain... Yes that is in fact the second cat, completely broken away from the first!! The joys of owning a 13 year old car that apparently hasn't been loved previously [emoji19] now I just need to save up for a proper stainless system!! Next week, coilovers are going on! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Welcome!! I'm in Essex as well so I'll be sure to keep an eye out [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I really don't understand how insurance companies come up with their prices... It's a joke really!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. sort me out with the name of this insurance comapany! It's General Accident, they are on compare the market which is where I got my quote Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I'm 20 with a GX and I'm paying £2500, that was my cheapest quote and didn't have a box. That's with one years no claims and the same time for the licence held. Oh and 3 points whoops Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hopefully no tickets to follow!! Oh I know my luck, I've got a crime reference number now though so I can just appeal on them all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yeah have done, I notified the met and they are flagging any car they find with that reg that isn't me... Chances are over the next week or so I'll get dozens of notices from the police for points etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Replaced my rear number plate because mine was stolen [emoji1303] outside my workplace in the middle of the day... Absolute f**king p**s taking c**ts At least the car is still mine... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Welcome to the club!!! I'm also rocking a GX and it really is a case of they go alright for the power they have, just don't try racing anything over a 1.2 diesel... In terms of looks you can be really refined, or really bonkers, the great thing about them is number of parts that fit from the WRX model because the chassis code is the same. I bought mine with green wheels and as I found recently it also has a green neon strip under the rear bumper, so I've decided I'm going to start greening out the car. I can't say id recommend making it look like a full STI replica because you'll constantly have people trying it on with you and chances are you'll get pulled on by a civic or some nonsense. But yeah like Matt said ^ alloys, lows, tints and maybe even a front lip and rear diffuser as a good start point Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So a few people aren't sure on my green wheels but I've decided I like them!! So naturally I'm putting more green on the car to start making it look a little more complete... So first off, tint film on the fog lights and then next will be doing the hoses and lines under the bonnet. It's a GX so I'm not making it any faster, but I can at least make it my own!! And for my birthday on Sunday I'm treating myself to a set of coilovers [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The scoob is only car number 2 for me, before this was a 2010 Suzuki swift that I still have and is being converted to a track car!! [emoji16] And with the Subaru I also own a nice shiny 2002 Suzuki GSXR 600 for a bit of 2 wheeled fun!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I turned up at just after 9:30 thanks to the que on the crossing... Will definitely be leaving work early next time!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Well for anyone still there I'm on my way with doughnuts [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Are many people going along? Might pop down as I'm only just north of the water. What kind of time do people leave as well? I wouldn't get there till 8-ish myself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I've just bought a 2003 blob saloon with 7 previous owners and 109k on the clock and it's superb if just in need of a little tlc to get her back up to shiny sexy state again. Wagons tend not to be driven too hard from what I know (no doubt a number of guys on here will say different) but the thing to check will be the condition of things like suspension and the undercarriage in general because although most people will say the bodywork is in "great condition" that doesn't always mean it's been loved and looked after underneath, and it's always worth checking all the usual things like timing belts and engine components... If you know the reg try the government mot checker as well, at least then you can check any advisories and ask if they have been fixed or not. Unless the hpi checker you used provided that information. I took a gamble on mine as it was 150 miles from me and I was basically buying it blind, and I'm very pleased with it! One thing I've learned from my dads previous experiences is check the deals around the doors and boot, and also around the spare wheel well, not sure what they are like on scoobs but it's bitten him on the **** before. (Although it was an Astra) The short version: Subaru's are awesome and the wagons are bullet proof, just check the usual items and be sure to question any mot advisories if any at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Today after the usual commuting to and from work I gave her a nice clean and polish then went out for a nice drive in the evening sun... I adore this car, even if it's not the turbo model [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Just while we're on the topic, how long does it take normally to be delivered? I only purchased premium last week so I have no idea when to expect it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Hi Is it just the lettering your after or a solid background with lettering? Thanks With a black background and white letting ideally! But if that's a complete ball-ache then I'm good with just desperate letters Ok mate that's no problem. Will be £25 including p&p in the 2 colours. Let me know the size required?
