So today I traveled 2 and a half hours home from holiday to be greeted by a variety of packages all containing shiny things for the car [emoji16] I immediately jacked the car up, had linch while it cooled and the put the new de-cat pipe on!! Next weekend will be oil, filter and plugs... Don't do it! You unleash too many opinions on oil [emoji33] [emoji23] [emoji23] Save the money on filters and stick it towards oil. Yeah I thought I might do after I posted [emoji23] but the new filter and plug was £25 delivered so can't complain really... Any ideas where I can find the required amount of oil for my model?? Spent 4 hours cleaning and detailing the beast today, and then spent a couple of hours pulling the old heat shield off because where it had rusted it was rattling about ... Well I thought that was what was rattling, turns out that was only one of many things rattling and I can't for the life of me find the other rattle [emoji19] Pretty sure it's the centre pipe replacement I put on ... I looked at them but ended up getting ST-suspension (the brand not the car lol) and I'm very happy with them, so I'd recommend them, but they are like twice the price... Would be interesting to see if anyone has got these though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've got a blob-eye GX (non turbo) and do 60/100 miles a day in it and it never misses a beat and is really rather comfy to drive. The WRX's and STI's have nicer interiors and more supportive seats and I've never heard people complain about aches or pains after driving long distance but that the boils down to personal preference. The space in the car is surprising and is basically the Swiss-army-knife of the 4 wheel world... The boot is large enough for a good monthly shop or approximately 2 body bags depending on usage, there's plenty of leg room for the passengers, unless you're in my height bracket of around 6'4" in which case the only way someone is getting behind you is if they are absurdly skinny or have no legs ... Well the easiest way would probably be to swap the knob to an auto one (how you'd achieve this I've no idea) but you may also need to swap the actual shifter rod to an auto for the knob to fit... That would be working on the premise the selector rod would still operate correctly as the linkage is completely different between auto and manual ... Dare I ask why you'd like to do this? I've known people to convert manual to auto but not the other way around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I'm keeping the green theme going inside the car now as I've plasti-coated some of the trim round the head unit just need to do the cup holder next ... Please ignore the naff unit and sketchy cutout as I bought the car with it and am slowly fixing the problems, on that note, anyone got a vaguely decent head unit taking up space that they want shot of?? A singular cat called Clifford, yes after the big red dog, my brother named him when he was about 5 and I'm pretty convinced was he not only the runt of the little, he is in fact also missing a few brain cells... But he's fluffy and loves being made a fuss of so that's always nice [emoji1303] And I also have a Labrador/ Alsatian cross, whom like his feline brother is in fact about as intelligent as a house brick, but he is fiercely loyal and a true friend. Yes I know he's just a dog but I'm sure there are some of you who know what I mean when I say he really is my best friend. Today was the day I fixed my broken **** exhaust system!! It's now back to factory cats and straight from there ... It's not what I wanted but needed to be done as a rush basis as the pictures will explain... Yes that is in fact the second cat, completely broken away from the first!! The joys of owning a 13 year old car that apparently hasn't been loved previously [emoji19] now I just need to save up for a proper stainless system!! Next week, coilovers are going on!
