Impreza breakers around Norwich changed my fronts, think they charged 2 hours labour per bearing and was around £30 an hour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If that's your car in your pic, http://www.ukvehicle.com/T261KEC/ did a quick search on google with number plate, that site came up with old mots, what it failed on etc also old for sale adverts, so might be able to contact previous owners if they left a number :)

Hi it's the White legacy in the pic :) after getting it I typed the reg in Google and found a picture of it :) can't be arsed with blanking out number plates anymore. https://www.flickr.com/photos/8494603@N08/5987779902/in/photostream/lightbox/

My friends X reg Impreza sport special has a high biting point, but it also has a hill holder system which keeps the brake applied when the clutch is down, so you are using the clutch and brake with just one pedal. Just before biting point the brake is released, so I'm guessing the pedal is meant to be quite high :)

Hi was wondering if anyone has had this? Both sensors were reading fine, then thought as things were looking a bit dirty in engine bay, went to clean my airfilter, threw in some carb cleaner, disconnected some wire connectors including o2 sensors, gave them a spray and clean etc. Now the Wideband is reading 3V but acting normal, like 1.5V is constantly being added? took some pics when engine off ignition on, just after starting when voltage starts to rise, while driving on throttle/off throttle etc I am guessing the car is just ignoring the sensors now and CEL is on, doesn't appear to be running lean. Any help much much appreciated! :)

2007 outback rear wheel bearings ( new member )
Mark D replied to mike08's topic in Subaru Outback Club
Got 2 new front bearings, 2 used driveshafts fitted for around £250-£300ish at impreza breakers in Norfolk, but was for a 2001 legacy. Got a video where you could clearly hear wheel bearings (both sides had gone!) incase someone wants it to compare with, but can't upload on here :( -
iPad wouldn't let me write a comment! Was going to say, filled up the wet vac with soap and conditioner, then let loose on interior and roof :)

Second that on the pics :)

Did an oil and filter change, wanted the car on ramps going toward the garage so it's not hanging out on the pavement. precision!

After resetting the codes, sometimes you would have to drive the car for so and so miles and start the engine so many times before certain other codes will show so check again later, maybe that other code will reappear

Fuel related, Im pretty sure using some fuels from certain companies would set off a P0420 code. Although can't be certain, but seems like a coincidence. Those were the BP and ESSO regular unleaded fuels, I think it may have added ethanol? I just stick to shell Vpower now :) worth getting the club card aswell, sometimes you get triple points per litre etc so you could get some money back

Oops was thinking at the time if only you got something that was an 02 you could get a mini museum going with a variety of cars from 01-04, so was thinking of 4 cars if that makes sense! Would make a better variety bucket than a box of chicken :)

Thanks when I first got it I did think the steering was really light, which made me play around with the mysterious button on top of the panel behind the steering wheel... The magical 'need jump leads' button! is that list of 4 cars what you got at the moment or previous cars aswell?

looking for another sport special? (Norfolk)

Just a thought, when you say pop and bang, are you talking about the huge bang when changing gear like the rally cars? If so that's anti lag used to keep the turbo spinning when the boost would drop. if not, then sorry was just a thought when driving back home :) -
Welcome back from holiday, now back to work :) Try as scoobyghost suggested, you can get the car to flash the error codes to you if stored, a bit like morse code
-
Got some pics up :) bit paranoid someone would copy the number plate on a similar car then maybe do a drive by etc but I see not a lot of people are bothered about it so maybe one day I won't be soo bothered and able to upload other pics!

Thanks for the warm welcome, yeah it was all good things I was hearing, not to worry :) mine is a Y reg 2.5 N/A auto legacy, was previously owned by the ministry of defence. I'm not sure where that guy got his red Impreza wagon, not sure if it had been changed or standard etc but his hood scoop is in black. Might be your one at one point :) A friend of mine had a blue V reg Impreza a couple years ago, I managed to find out some history of it by searching the number plate in forums... Found out at one point it was stolen in Essex!

looking for another sport special? (Norfolk)
Mark D replied to Mark D's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
By the way that's a nice looking special :) don't know if it's the camera but it makes my friends one look faded. Does yours have this really annoying rev hang when cold, where when accelerating and letting off the throttle (doesn't matter how quickly you let off) it will stay at the same revs, then after 2 secs will slowly... Slowly drop down? I've read up about similar complaints but think they were when engine warm? only way to make it drop slightly quicker is to take out of gear, de-clutch in neutral, to slow engine speed slightly, then clutch and stick into gear :S -

Hi it's my friends car, when she got it the previous owner changed exhaust from cat back, it does a little rumble when lifting off the accelerator, but there is a leak in the exhaust at the moment. It was quite loud when she got it, guy at a Subaru breakers had a pro sport back box that made it quieter which is what is on at the moment, but had to cut a bit off it to make it fit as got different mid pipe. compared to my legacy (don't know how similar the exhausts are) it looks like the mid pipe is missing the resonator box -

Will be at snetterton race track Thursday, so if you look hard enough, there will be one in the car park :) doing temp work while the super bikes are racing!

...so anyway, guess she has two callipers to sell minus the bits you are holding in the picture! Looking at my last post... Got autocorrect interference! *also remembered to add spoke to someone who doesn't recommend heating that part... But if you have nothing to heat up or is heat sensitive, there is a freeze spray you can use which does the same thing but the other way round, also does a good job cleaning. Although I don't know what it's like with rubber parts

Well done. Know someone with a car like yours, she took it to a small garage because of slight noise from the brakes. The guy at the garage called to say he broke something, so I drove over to see what happened. Be broke the bolts.... Then said I needed to get the bracket... When I went to the other side.... Oh he broke them too!!! So had to get two calliper so he could swap the bits. even then... He used an impact drill/hammer etc without heating etc beforehand! I managed to convince him to tap it with a hammer though....
