I had a set of them cheap ones made the car a nightmare to drive was a horrible ride on the road every bump they would bang after 1 week they had rusted I would not advise anyone buy them as said you get what you pay for Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When I got my ecu I got a 3 bar map sensor with it think it was from a v3 :) last map he said there was no need for it as it developed a misfire around 4000rpm so had the turn boost down but he will fit it when I go back :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What gearbox do people recommend since I got my classic around 5 months ago the synchro has been on it's way out at first if I changed gear slowly it was fine but no it crunches most of the time and it's spoiling the drive so time to upgrade it's just over 300bhp. Do I go with the same code (near on impossible to fine one) or do I do a box and diff swap what boxes have people found to be good? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've used Duncan for a number of years now on a couple of cars and will continue to use him not had a single problem with the maps he's done Yh he's a nightmare to get hold off waited 3 weeks for him to reply to a text once but the thing I like tho is he just maps don't try to sell you stuff you don't need like scooby clinic tried to. I think if anything like this happens again spark plugs will be 1st thing to get changed wasn't even that bad about an hour start to finish now to finish fitting my wide arches only got the front done then this happens so they got forgot about Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well good news guy she's alive again not sure how I fixed it all I did was put new plugs in and she fired straight up all the old plugs were sparking so don't understand but it's works it's good to hear the flat 4 again :) thanks for everyone's help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi mate thanks for your advice I don't use airflow meter with my ecu it's been deleted and users map sensor instead I will get the 02 sensor out and cleaned up going to strip down the top of the engine 2moz and clean all connection make sure everything in connected put in a new set of plugs and give it one more try the old plugs were covered in fuel and checked each plug and each coil out the engine all sparking as they should so don't under stand how it's not starting up but new ones might give a better spark will have to see hopefully I can come back on here with good news been over a week now and I miss driving it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best to go after market ecu with proper map for your car mate esl boards are ok or ecutec but alcatek and such like ecu's give better results with more features like anti lag since I went with alcatek I haven't looked back got my mate to get same ecu he already had ecutec map on his car but managed to get an extra 50bhp just by changing ecu Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Still not running swapped map sensor boost soliniod all the stuff on the bracket on the drivers suspention tower still no look starting to pull my hair out now spoke to Clifford to see if it could be something to do with immobiliser but they don't think it would be as I have fuel spark and starters working ran out of idea now any more help guys

Hi mate it started for a second then died it has done it twice in the past but always started the second time I put it down to the cold start on the ecu I've changed the fuel pump as I had a new one here that was my 1st thought as I had one go on me before I've got fule pressure as I've got a snard fpr with gauge I haven't thought about the map sensor tho could that cause it? I did plug the maf back in with the old ecu to see to see if it was cold start but no luck

Ok mate I'll leave it till after going to get the plugs out tonight been so busy at work just not had time been playing on my mind all day what it could be do you no what the compression should be on each cylinder going to do a test while plugs out just to be sure left battery off all night and on charge so it's got plenty of power

Might sound dumb but whats the igniter? Yh can smell fuel had the battery off all night and on charge going to get plugs out this morning and fit new ones as I'm not sure when they was last changed might just leave the newage coils until it's sorted

Thanks I'll check the earth points and pull the plugs Yh I've tried the old ecu and no codes stored it has the same fuel pressure it's had since I went for my map can't remember off top of my head but think it's around 3 bar or psi can't remember which been running fine ever since I've got spark on front two cylinders as they were the easiest coils to get to so would have thought it would run on 2 cylinders atleast but I'll take the rest out and check might just put newage coils on while I'm there as I've got them sat here
