bowthruster Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Hi I have a momo steering wheel, and ive noticed that in the last few week that there all tiny bits of rubber all over my hands. Is it just a case of cleaning/scrubbing it or is there anything else..Cheers
aucky Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 dont hold the wheel so tight lol,how many mile it done?mine a momo wi 90 thousand miles and the shine coatin has all started to come off in bits, been thinking of changing mine to the 3 spoke wheel if a can get a cheap 1 with the air bag.
stants Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Don't clean it. Mines showing slight wear on it and used a dash wipe now some bits are going funny. Maybe treat it with something to feed the leather.
bowthruster Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 Hopefully ive still got some leather treatment in the garage....It was fine all summer
stants Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Maybe get some pckets of silica gell in car. Is it kept outside ?
bowthruster Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 Its kept on driveway mostly.Silly question can you buy those silica gel packets as I normally throw them out if I get any of them
stants Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Yes think places like b&q do or storage and removal companies sell them. Or maybe get a big bag off amzon [emoji2] 1
bowthruster Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 A big bag????How many do i F***ing need???? Only joking Cheers stants
savage bulldogs Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I've got a bug momo wheel for sale it's in fairly good nick was told it was off a sti (red stitching)
bowthruster Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 How much do you want for it mate and can you fit it for me?
Tlag Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 If you can get the leather treatment that you have to heat up first, it cleans and feeds the leather. I got mine from an independant old school shoe repair place.
stants Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 The bigger the better ! I use them all over, spare tyre well under the front seats just to get rid of any moisture thats crept in. The cars garaged in work and at home but some manages to find it way in through the window rubbers and what not
quit Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 had this on my white wagon, the steering wheel is knackered, get a cheap replacement its easier mate
