charswrx Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Hey, I've only had my subaru a few months and I need to change the front and rear brake discs/ pads. I just want to know what brands you guys would recommend. I am on a budget but don't mind paying if they're worth it! The scoob is a 04 blob eye wrx 2l turbo. Any recommendations would be great! tom_gr7 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I have Pagid discs and pads, I find them to be pretty good. No complaints, not much brake dust. - Although, i do have braided hoses on, :) I'd certainly buy pagid again though.

Jay762 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I have used Black Diamond before and found them to be a good replacement over OEM discs, given the age of your car I think the braided hoses option and a bleed through with 5.1 fluid will really complement the replacement discs and pads whatever you decide

What brand pads do you use with them? I reckon I will go for mtech or black diamond with the braided hoses. If mtech are pretty good then I'll give them a go
tom_gr7 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I heard that Mtec discs were just standard discs, that are are drilled and/or grooved by mtec themselves.
Ash007ks Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Cant be tom as they are alot larger than the standard disc's, they stop me very good and have yet to see them fade, ferrodo pads come with them as well which are a good make.
