Chewbacca Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Hi, I've recently purchased a 54 plate 2.0X and when you open the coin tray to the right of the steering column there's a numerical keypad built into it. I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas what it might be? It looks like its factory fit and I'm guessing its something to do with the alarm or possibly the immobiliser, but just wanted to confirm. Thanks :)
Gambit Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Hi mate welcome to the forums. It's apart of the alarm system if you have the codes you can set it to do stuff like lock your doors after say 30 seconds or to turn the feature off, and to add new key. But to do that you will need the original master code to put in 1st to add anything else. And feel free to add some pictures up when you get chance :) 1
dogma1 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 you can yet the code from the net... I put bleeps on mine so when car is not in view I can tell if alarm in on or off. 1

Scooby Pete Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Oh this would be handy to have as I want to change the way the car locks, fed up with the central locking not unlocking all doors on just one press. 1
Scooby Pete Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Rang Subaru and theres no way to change it :( !Removed! Stupid idea, if you have someone with you you can gtee they will grab the handel just as you press the button the 2nd time and the whole rigmarole has to start again!
Jay762 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Yup have played those games, have made them (over enthusiastic kids) wait in the rain whilst I get in and then unlock from the doors from the inside

Oh I'm so glad to hear someone else have this problem. I've lost count how many times I must have looked like I'm having a Tic with Tourette's sat in Tesco's car park :)
dogma1 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/Knowledge/ElectricalSystem don't know if this helps. 1
Miggs Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 yeh the keypad needs to have the * and # symbol for you to be able to program it, the lesser sigma M20 alarms (one light to the right of the button on the fob) only have the numbers and they are dealer only and have less features, most of the imprezas got the sigma M30 (3 lights at the top of the fob) which has a whole host of features as can be seen from the link aboove that Dogma posted or here 2
