dec1984 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Hi everyone. Nice to meet you all! I'm excited to be a member of this club now, I'm finally going to get rid of my volvo v50 and import a legacy from Japan. I'm hoping to do an lpg conversion but not sure whether to go for a2.0 turbo or the 3.0 h6, so any advice is greatly appreciated. I have spoken to two specialists who really seem to know their stuff. One says go for the 3.0, one says either is fine to convert! So confused but excited at the same time! Look forward to reading all the great info on this site. :-)
tom_gr7 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I mate, welcome to the club. I've got a 2ltr legacy and love it. Not as quick as 3.0 or a turbo, but its good enough for my needs.
Jay762 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Wotcha and welcome - feel free to get stuck in
Scoobydoobydan Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Hey and welcome to SOC, Theres a good amount of legacy owners on here to ask away, if you've got loads of questions.....
GeoffLeggy Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Welcome! Importing a Legacy ....... kudos to you Both the 2.0 turbo and 3.0 H6 are very nice cars as standard and not much between them on the road. My mate has a H6 and its not like I spank him on stock boost. The H6 does need a bit more 'neck ringing' where the turbo is nice to drive lower end on the primary turbo. The first thing I would ask yourself is, are you looking at modifying it? Unless you spend big money on a supercharger + the standard additions of exhaust and filter, you wont get much more power from the H6. The 2.0 turbo will get you up to 315ish BHP without spending too much and of course you can unlock that 4cyl Scooby burble Personally I would be looking for a nice low mileage late Twin Turbo E Tune. Enjoy the forum 1
