Car is dead after jump start

Featured Replies

OK started my car earlier and reversed on some ramps while exhaust was welded and battery removed.

That was completed and put battery on and had to jump start car. However car just turns and turns. There is fuel getting to the engine while I was cranking there is spark. But car does nothing but crank. Any ideas please guys.

Check cam and crank sensors haven't been unplugged by accident while disconnecting the battery. Check the fusible link ,it's a bit of wire with a spade connection on either end in the under bonnet

  • As savage says 👍 this should also help! And for cam Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Did you disconnect the battery earth or just the positive side? It seems strange that it's happened after welding How do you know it's got fuel and have you done a ecu reset? Might be worth C

Check the fusible link ,it's a bit of wire with a spade connection on either end in the under bonnet fuse box .Although if this has blown it doesn't normally "crank"

If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊

As savage says 👍 this should also help!

Might be worth Checking that the big grey plugs at the ends of the engine loom and that the gearbox /inlet manifold earth's are ok .

If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊
