Not done that yet. That's next on my list. If the timing was out wouldn't that kill the engine?

Check cam and crank sensors haven't been unplugged by accident while disconnecting the battery. Check the fusible link ,it's a bit of wire with a spade connection on either end in the under bonnet

  • As savage says 👍 this should also help! And for cam Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Did you disconnect the battery earth or just the positive side? It seems strange that it's happened after welding How do you know it's got fuel and have you done a ecu reset? Might be worth C

You might be lucky enough that it's only slipped a few teeth but your right the boxer lump is a "interference" engine.

Just thought it's worth a squint before you do a compression test .

If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊

The covers look like a ball ache to get off. I have time. But really want her running now. I miss her lol. Could this problem happen if she is completely flooded.

I can't see a main relay in the engine fuse box. Where else would it be located.

Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

There is another fuse box near the bonnet catch under the drivers side kick panel.

Unsure if That's were the main relay is as "sparks" ain't my thing and my brv normally helps in that department [emoji6]

If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊

OK found a relay attached to a panel under steering column. Tested and working fine. All other smaller relays are for headlights fog lights etc

Yes all was good. Removed all spark plugs today. It does seem that the engine was flooded replacing spark plugs with new ones tomoz and letting some fuel evaporate. Will use a blowtorch tomoz to remove any residue. Put back together and hopefully will start.

Knackered plugs. Soaking plugs, leads not brilliant.

Didn't think it would flood that easily either. Start fine one minute then done. But the fault finding caused me to find some earth issues on the car. All in all a nice job. And a happy scooby owner.
