Hi guys, noticed this morning to work my oil pressure has increased somewhat in the last couple of days and I'm slightly concerned..... Anything over 2k it tops out at 75psi when hot where as before it would be 50-55psi at 2k and be 70psi at 3k.

Any ideas on the likely cause? Still runs the same, but I 'think' I can smell hot oil inside at idle stationary when warm. I say think because there's no visible leaks and I can't smell it under the bonnet. Any ideas or help greatly appreciated!

I've been doing the same sort of runs the same time of day for 4 months and I've only just noticed it, might do an oil and filter change just to be safe (coming up to 5k anyway) and go from there. The paranoia in me instantly thinks head gasket or oil being pressurised by something happening in the cylinders but at idle it's same as it always has been
