Lee91
Hi all from Newcastle I've always wanted to own a Subaru and from now I do I'll obviously not being going over board with performance mods as its only the 2003 2.0 Gx AWD wagon the blobeye one I think you call it. Do these cars have a specific name or is it how I've specified? Just for when I'm looking up parts etc... I'll be wanting the exterior looking it's best maybe a STI rep. What sort of good exterior mods good on these? What parts fit on these off other subarus? Have patience with me as I'm used to VWs was getting a little sick of the dub scene and fancied going jap for a change.
GeoffLeggy
Welcome! We're all patient here! You are right, Blobeye Wagon is what you'd most commonly refer to it as. If your searching for exterior bits then yours is a 'GG' model to be more specific, so look for Blobeye GG or Blobeye Wagon (and or year maybe). If you want a sportier look then try and find a WRX bonnet with scoop, bigger alloys from same period turbos and maybe a boot spoiler to finish it off. I like the front bumper on yours as it is btw. You can pick a cheap exhaust back box to give you a better tone. My advice is not go too mad and over the top, keep it simple. Try breakers that may have the same colour cars being broken. I hope you enjoy the forum and dont be shy to dig in.
Lee91
Cheers for the info that's exactly what I wanted to hear. What you've describes is exactly what I'm hoping to achieve and get it sitting a bit lower. What diffuser fits on these?

NIGEL LEE BROOKWELL
Hi there...I'm new to this club too. I own a 2004 blobeye Impreza WRX and could do with some guidance on sourcing some better headlights units to replace the originals. Any advice on what the best products are and where in the UK I can buy them from would be much appreciated. Kind regards Nige Wigan Lancashire

quit
If I had a na I would go down the low and stance look tho it pisses me off all the vw guys would be good to see something different but not the usual 18" Bbs lm alloys lowered tints clean and tidy would have a nice car
PazzaN96
Welcome to the club!!! I'm also rocking a GX and it really is a case of they go alright for the power they have, just don't try racing anything over a 1.2 diesel... In terms of looks you can be really refined, or really bonkers, the great thing about them is number of parts that fit from the WRX model because the chassis code is the same. I bought mine with green wheels and as I found recently it also has a green neon strip under the rear bumper, so I've decided I'm going to start greening out the car. I can't say id recommend making it look like a full STI replica because you'll constantly have people trying it on with you and chances are you'll get pulled on by a civic or some nonsense. But yeah like Matt said ^ alloys, lows, tints and maybe even a front lip and rear diffuser as a good start point Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
