If i remove this heat thing on bonnet will it make any diffrence.wont hurt paint on bonnet will it.as its old n dirty n got part missin anyway.

Removed mine on the hatch with no issue at all - did consider getting some gold sticky back stuff from the evil bay as a bling alternative but thought it was more noise than heat so didnt bother in end

What I also found was it retained water and the bolts holding the scoop on had rusted because of it

I believe its more for soundproofing, bonnet doesn't sound like a sheet of metal, etc

yeah i binned mine long time ago just gets in the way 

I took mine off because of the same reason, looks better with out, just had the issue of cleaning the whole inside too after taking it off!! Lol
