Hi all I recently replaced my bugeye wrx with a bigger fuel pump[ from a STi. When I start the car there is a whining noise coming from the pump lasts about 50 seconds and stops. Is that normal or is there something wrong?

Sounds like it's just priming, however I've not known them to make a noise for that long

I wouldn't have thought it would take that long to prime, normally a second or two... the Walbro is quite loud when priming but that only lasts a couple of seconds. 

50 seconds sounds a long time, mine lasts about 5-10 seconds in position 2 before turning key to ignition
