Mark D
After my already beaten up exhaust snapped at the second cat I decided to get everything apart from the backbox, uel instead of el headers. I don't drive quick anyway, even if I wanted to (2.5 NA) so weren't bothered about loss of power. Never driven a turbo car so luckily for me I don't know what I'm missing and happy with my slow legacy :) Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk

Mark D
Really pleased with it, still got both cats and stock style mid pipe but after years of owning this car and people thinking its a Toyota it might be recognised as a Subaru! The stainless steel manifold was only around £150! Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk

When I did my up-pipe, used this stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WURTH-ROST-OFF-ICE-RUST-RELEASING-FLUID-SPRAY-400ml-/181947154865?hash=item2a5ce541b1:g:w4QAAOSwAKxWXV6f Even made the downpipe bolts come off without issue!
Mark D
Hi I think only 2 nuts came off on the inside end of the manifold, the others were seized but was alright because the bolt itself would come out with the nut in place, so just treated it like a bolt :) one nut came loose later, but I just compared where it was meant to be with another bolt then put another spare nut in beside it to lock it in place Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Mark D
The cheap manifold itself though didn't really line up, will try to find a picture if I can Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Mark D
Comparing the bolt holes with the old exhaust, would be good to check if they line up, if I had to do it again I'd spend a bit longer to find something to wedge inbetween to hopefully make it easier to fit. Note not all are like that, I knew from reviews this particular one the holes didn't line up but for the price couldn't complain :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Mark D
RE-done some heat wrapping as reused the old one when fitting the exhaust as new one hadn't arrived yet :) The old one had rips etc when removing several times, it had melted part of the rear of the plastic skid guard :/ parts of the exhaust that were covered now has a nice blue tint to it though :) going to do a bit more soon :) Oh, also found a small tunnel :) https://vimeo.com/196121823 Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk

orange71
Would this work for example? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=232175214551#ht_2277wt_1397
stants
@orange71 may be worth looking at a breakers or cars being broken on the bay should get them slightly cheaper Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
orange71
Sorry I'm pretty new to subarus. Is it a standard header? If so which model as it's not standard for my car. Mine has equal headers and I want unequal. Thanks.
Mark D
Hi that's what I got, from the US, think people refer to them as borla replicas. They advertise for imprezas but for my legacy they went straight on, only thing is the 2 ends need to be slightly more apart for the bolts to line up. Could go to a breakers but I saw somewhere these are more unequal in length and stainless so might as well. If you are anywhere near Norfolk could always have a look at mine Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
