Rkidder Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Hi I'm looking for a good mechanic in the Leicester area, not unity aylestone road. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Rkidder Posted December 6, 2016 Author Posted December 6, 2016 OK, so are there any subaru owners on here from Leicester?
Tidgy Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Depends how far your willing to travel. I use scoobyclinic up at chesterfield.
Tidgy Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Usued em for donkeys years for everything from servicing, to bodywork, tuning, engine and gearbox rebuilds. Due to pick my type R up again on sat. Need to update it with the results, but up to date untill last week. Always welcome to come along for a nosey and a coffee on sat if you want. No obligation to buy anything :) 1
Scoobyghost Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Bring a cheque book, prepare for a lot more to be wrong with your car than you ever imagined and if you do decide to leave it with them make sure they don't joy ride it. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3404946/Subaru-owner-s-anger-garage-staff-pothole-video.html
Tidgy Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 One incident doesn't represent a company. if that was the case i think every one would be out of business. 20+ years experience in everything from road to rally, track to gymkhana, still trading under the original name. very very few companies can say that ;) Pay a visit and choose for yourself :)
aucky Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 @Rkidder if your traveling then sheffield subaru services. 2
Scooby1972 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I use the world famous 😉autotecnica buxton owner Adam and top mechanic jamie only people i let touch her if i cant be bothered doing it myself😎 1
Scoobyghost Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Do plenty of research on who you decide to use. I have a family friend mechanic or try to do most myself. Maybe get some tools for Xmas? 😊 1
Rkidder Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 I've had a few issues with my wrx that I've sorted now, cost me an arm and a leg. I have no faith in unity leicester so I wanted someone from around the area. So thanks for all the info. Aucky I'm up in Sheffield a lot ( great music scene) so I'll check them out thanks
Paul_JJ Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 The only mechanic in the UK I would recommend is TIM. Simply the best mechanic I ever experienced. You can trust this, he also doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The only downside is that you'll have to wait for a month or so to get to him. https://www.facebook.com/tbdevelopments/ He is a Toyota specialist, however I'm sure he could advise in regards to Subaru as well.
