Do you mean before you give it the beans ?

Usually a couple of miles of driving off boost will do the job if stone cold

I mean what time it needs to warm up engine? Some people think that from 30 seconds to 1minute is enough and then you can drive gently,

I'd give it a minute then at least the oil has pumped it's way around the engine sufficiently

easy enough to fit an oil temp gauge to be absolutely certain but I would drive after a minute of two but not boost / high rev until happy the oil was thoroughly warmed up

I give the forester 5 minutes idling on the driveway in the morning  and as others have said I stay of the boost for another 10/15 minutes of driving at least
