Kit_townley Posted February 17, 2017 Share Posted February 17, 2017 Hi there, I am new to the Subaru club having bought myself an 05 type uk sti a couple of weeks ago. However have had it stored in the garage as am at university and came back today to a flat Battery. Charged Battery and gone to connect it then alarm sounds and key does not stop it. Is there anything I can/should do when reconnecting my Battery to avoid the alarm going off? If not do you have any ideas of how to fix it? I have tried turning the key whilst alarm going off and the dashboard lights are all flashing and car wouldn't start. Really want to get this sorted as would like to get out in the car but don't want to do anything that would cause settings to change in the alarm system, as if I can't start it I hope nobody else can! Leaving 30 seconds between each entry but do not want to lock myself out of anything as my car is my pride and joy! As you can understand I'm young and do not want to break anything.... stants Posted February 17, 2017 Share Posted February 17, 2017 I'm browsing using Tapatalk so can't see the faq's site properly, the guide pretty much works on all the sigmas, You can ring your subaru dealer and they should give you the correct pin number but you'll need your vin number and reg, I have aftermarket alarm so can't be of much more help but I'm sure someone will be along with more knowledge soon Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kit_townley Posted February 18, 2017 Author Share Posted February 18, 2017 Hi linx, thanks for this but have just tried using my dads car Battery and alarm still went off as soon as I connected to the Battery terminals, so must be something to do with the car. Thank you Greenmamba, but I've tried using both remotes/keys to disarm the system as soon as I connect the terminals but this still hasn't stopped the alarm from going off, so frustrating as just want to know the car is all okay! Mr B Posted February 18, 2017 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Shut all the door/bonnet and let alarm finish squeeling if will ! If siren does stop try cycling alarm couple times via the remotes and see if works on them ! Also check Battery voltage is over 12.4V Trouble with pin code is if someones changed it subaru recorded one won't work read manual for info on entering pin code as quite fussy on how done. easy enough reset pin or add remotes as long as got one remote that works alarm .
