Straight centre pipe requires remap?

Hi all,

As you may know i've recently purchased my first turbo impreza!

It has the PPP installed, but is a tad quiet for my liking.

Will fitting a straight through centre pipe affect the back pressure so much that it will change the performance of the car? (I.e will it require a remap)

Rest of the exhaust system is totally standard apart from the prodrive backbox.

Nope! The centre pipe has a resonator so it's not really restrictive, just makes things quieter... when you start removing cats, that's when you get into remap territory

General rule suggest centre are rear are perfectly fine to swap out for larger bore or less restrictive.

Cheers guys, i'm slowly learning about turbos (work on hybrids every day and we don't see any turbos at the moment lol!)

I shall order one now and hopefully release the mighty burble!
