These come off really easily

remove the plugs from under the car.

then gently pull working from one end, the unit is held by panel plugs

I did coat the pins with a layer of red grease prior to refitting due to there being rubber washers in-between the metal surface and the pin and to make it easier to remove next time

I always find other peoples write ups like this useful - Petes boost gauge tap off for instance - so I try and catalogue stuff as I do it.

pulled a plug out today as well and found it was a denso iridium tough - which was nice :D

Might go through the forums and bunch these up and have them pinned like you said with Pete's what you think ?

Yup would be a good idea - a how to section for example

wrt the pins I have just measured them and the larger ones are similar to these but 'T' = 25mm

The smaller one is similar to this however 'T' = 20mm

The panel pins resemble these but I cannot measure those at this point

I do have some of the first example as they hold the front spoiler in place - somewhere... I could stick a couple in the post to see if they will do the job?

very informative :-)    thank you , I have the basic black plastic ones on my car and I saw  a MK1 impreza with "CARBON FIBRE" effect  sides I was thinking of changing mine for the same carbon look and i think I will now  as it will save me paying out labour charges to my garage  by doing a bit of D.I.Y.    happy days
