Subaru XV satnav problem

Cruise control has started working again but the Home button on the Pioneer system doesn't work. When switching on the display goes straight to radio without showing the Subaru welcome screen. Menu button doesn't give options - just stays on radio.

Is there a re-set button or does the car have to go to the dealer ?

The head unit on my XV is Harman Kardon as factory fit with sat nav.

However if your Pioneer head unit has an SD card inserted, then this may be your prob. Try pushing in the SD card to allow it to release and re insert it.

The maps will be stored on the card and if the head unit doesn't see/read the card then perhaps this would affect sat nav's function.

It is always possible the SD card has become corrupted, this could be checked by a computer I imagine, haven't taken mine out yet and att to computer to check it out. Maybe a wee job for tomorrow as I'm curious about the format.

Technology's great when it works, and my job when it doesn't lol.

Good Luck

Is it a Subaru system , or aftermarket , I notice you said pioneer , I had a Vito with a pioneer double din Stereo and sat nav , fitted standard by Mercedes and it's been replaced 2 times now right pain in the !Removed! , sat nav stoped working the first time wouldn't let you enter a destination , then the digital radio stopped
