majik_thighs Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Thinking of trading the 3.0 RN Outback for a diesel, it`s just getting ridiculous how much petrol i`m using nowadays, I still love my wagon and still get the same buzz driving it. she`s 12 years old now so about time for an upgrade but how does everyone rate their diesel? ......good and bad? Probably will go for a 2010 or newer Outback. Tia.
david1972 Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Personally I wouldn't go near an early days subaru diesel due to the cost of fixing the known issues....newer versions seem ok so far thoughSent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Tidgy Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Given whats happening with diesel and tax i wouldn't have another diesel ever

Newer, from when?
david1972 Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Yes, good thanks mate; hope you are too.I'm no expert (far from it), but I don't think there have been many problems from 2014 or so onwards. Others should be able to advise tooSent from my iphone using Tapatalk
majik_thighs Posted September 5, 2017 Author Posted September 5, 2017 I know there can be a major problem with the heater plugs seizing in the heads on the earlier models but that`s all I know.
david1972 Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Me too mate. Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk 1
