Thinking of trading the 3.0 RN Outback for a diesel, it`s just getting ridiculous how much petrol i`m using nowadays, I still love my wagon and still get the same buzz driving it.

she`s 12 years old now so about time for an upgrade but how does everyone rate their diesel? ......good and bad?

Probably will go for a 2010 or newer Outback.

Tia.

Personally I wouldn't go near an early days subaru diesel due to the cost of fixing the known issues....newer versions seem ok so far though

Hi Dave, hope your well.

Newer, from when?

Yes, good thanks mate; hope you are too.

I'm no expert (far from it), but I don't think there have been many problems from 2014 or so onwards. Others should be able to advise too

I know there can be a major problem with the heater plugs seizing in the heads on the earlier models but that`s all I know.

Me too mate.

Leaking injectors was also a problem.
