Hi all in need of technical help,,,I'm selling an imported car,but on the log book it doesn't say the model only the make ,and colour is different on the log book to the car,,,,,I'm sure I've read that all imported cars from Japan are registered black,,,,   Any help need as I don't want to sell something that isn't right ?...

Jdm Imports are sometimes referred to as "grey imports " due to the history either being in Japanese or missing but the correct colour should be in the log book . Sometimes the model can be registered wrong , I've seen a few classic wrx's listed as N.A 's .

 

On impreza's (under the bonnet) there's a I.D plaque near the passenger's suspension turret .

 

Cross check the vin / chassis codes off that to the numbers on the v5 . Take note of the model code and give that a google , this should tell you exactly what model it is .

Has a short Jdm vin number as opposed to eudm numbers
