Hello to all.

My wife and I are looking to have some fun with our school run and general pottering car.

We've had a modest mix of fun cars and the Subaru is next on the list.

WRX with a remap is as hot as we need. Blue is not the colour, stealth is our tribe.

I'd say we have £7k to spend. Not worried if it's the booted version but we love the STI spoiler! Who doesn't love that.

6000 miles on a daily basis. Not fussed over tax (it will be reflected in the price) or economy.

We would welcome your thoughts and thank-you in advance.

Do you want balls out performance or a bit of comfort?

Good question.

Comfort over performance. We certainly don't need >350 bhp.

I ran a Mk4 Golf R32 from new for 3 years and I don't want to dip below that performance.

We do like the estate version. Just looks stealthy. All black, silver and black wheels.

Not worried about scuffs, we're after fun and as we live in the countryside we'll be running it muddy often. It's not going to be pristine. If it's a bit scuffed it will be cheap, so we could map it, put a SS exhaust, give it better breathing.

be looking at an 02 bug sti or possibly 03/04 blob, widetrack  (05) will be over budget.

We are now the proud owners of a 2005 Blob estate PPP. Grey, black wheels, rear windows tinted. Completely standard. Nowt changed.

Full Subaru history, loads of paperwork.

Just driven home and am very happy. On boost it was a blast. Quick.

I'll be now starting my research on how to make it better. Do I need to?

Any thoughts welcome. Not looking at spending loads as we're only going to run this for 2 yeas tops.

Wotcha and welcome - not sure what the PPP pack on yours is but potentially it will be intake tube, back box, filter and a map (possibly uprated fuel pump) so you could look at a full system to improve breathing and maybe a larger TMIC.

Other than that service, tyres and VPower - enjoy
