Looking at an XV tomorrow. What to look for?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

i am am looking at a 65 plate XV 2 litre diesel tomorrow with 50k on it. Is there anything specific I should be looking for apart from the usual things? We've had a couple of Foresters and really liked them hence why we've went for the XV. I just sold a Honda CRV and the 4 wheel drive system was rubbish.

Thanks.

Norrie.

Well checked the car out and it was absolutely fine so bought it.

Awesome car. I really like it as it drives great.  Returned 50 MPG on the way home so well happy with that. The touch screen stereo system is awesome as is the reverse camera.

Welcome Norrie,

Sorry for the lack of response, normally someone on here will answer within a day or two!

Glad you are enjoying the car, bet you were happy this weekend to have AWD and heated seats!

Sorry, I’ve bern busy with things. Good news is not much really with a car that old, just usual, service history etc, check tyres because at 50k they’ll probably be in their last legs if they’re the originals.

Tyres and brakes look like they've been replaced. The 48k service has also been done which is a bonus.

Norrie.
