Dazzler Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Trying to do a vin check on my Subaru iv just bought....it's asking for a 17 digit number but only have a 9 digit number on the log book? Can anyone help plz.
d.. Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Vin number should be on your v5c paperwork or if you look on the passenger side of your car from the outside in it should be in a rectangle block between dashboard and windscreen
d.. Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Also check inside drivers door on the frame work Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 The chassis/vin number is stamped on the top of bulk head above the clutch fluid reservoir. The silver id plate has.... model , trim , option , engine and gearbox codes. Basically everything needed to identify what parts are fitted to the chassis from the factory [emoji6]Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
stants Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 That looks like an import vin so will only be 9 numbers, Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Tidgy Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 yeah to confirm, its a jap import, 95 or 96 wrx saloon, strange thing is its a V-limited engine code but a normal wrx gearbox code

Expand It's a regular WRX sedan in silver. Manufactured in June 1995. From the factory it would have electric windows, central locking & aircon but no ABS. HTH
