Classic uprated map sensor

Featured Replies

Is this the correct uprated map sensor to go on to my v1 wrx, i know it says so in the description but just want to make sure as will get it on while putting the engine back in, m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-Turbo-2000-WRX-Sti-99-01-MAP-Sensor/222813262206?hash=item33e0b4917e:g:fwEAAOSw9p9aY2xR

Linky no worky, bud but any oe v3 onwards turbo impreza map sensor will be a upgrade . As they read up to 1.7 bar and the v1 and v2 only read to 1.2 bar .

Although it will just plug in it will need to be calibrated by a mapper ( fitted just before a remap )

Cool thanks savage, it does say in the description that its ideal as an upgrade for running higher boost and its came off a 99 sti, was a bit worried that i would have to wire in a new plug to fit it but if it just plugs straight on thats grand matey, i think I'll just bite the bullet and get it, they only wanting a tenner for it 😉👍

I checked the pics i have from when i removed the engine and the plugs are a different colour, the sensor off the bay has a black plug and the one on my car is grey, hopefully it'l just plug in they both seem to have 3pins, if not i'm sure there will be a diagram somewhere showing me how to wire it up

I just double checked and the plugs look slightly different fitment but the wires are the same colour and in the same order so fingers crossed 🤞, if it doesn't fit its only a tenner i suppose 😉
