Hi guys I've asked this before but still having no luck ,I'm based in Cumbria,I have a 06wrx ,full decat exhaust, panel filter,I have a horrible hissing noise say above 4 k revs, I've had it to three local garages who can't see anything, does anyone know of any garages/mechanics I'm my neck of the woods who could take a look at the car as it now is seriously annoying me to the point of getting rid

Sounds like you have a boost leak that only opens up under load. Should just be a case of running through the system to find it.

Yeah I've had a visual look but can't see anything obvious but I don't really know what I'm looking at ,as I say I could do with someone In the know to have a look at it for me 😔

Where about in cumbria are you as i'm in the Scottish borders about 50mile from carlisle and i could take a look at it for you, i'm no expert on the scoobs but have picked up a few things along the way and i'm an hgv mechanic, a turbo system works the same on a truck as it would a scoob or any other vehicle 👍

Sorry for late reply mate had stuff on, i could maybe fire down on Saturday and have a wee look at the motor for you if you want, could meet around the Carlisle area as that would be about half way, it takes me around an hour to get to Carlisle aswell 👍
