Hanys Posted September 8, 2019 Share Posted September 8, 2019 Hi Outback owners and enthusiastics. I own 2011 Outback. I came across the noise from the left passanger mirror. Both mirrors work fine, just the left one doesn't fold anymore. I think it has to do something with folding motor. Does anyone know if it's fixable without taking it to Subaru service? I tried to google replacement which I could easily change but was unlucky to find the exact one I have on my car. Any advice would be much appreciated. 4eyes Posted September 11, 2019 Share Posted September 11, 2019 Hi Hanys. I replaced the housing on my 2011 for the same reason. Good news is it's an easy job, bad news is a new housing is about £350 from a dealer! That doesn't include glass, cover etc. The glass is fiddly but a flat screwdriver will remove it by prying from underneath, after you move the bottom out as far as it will go, then just unplug the heater.
