savage bulldogs Posted November 23, 2020 Share Posted November 23, 2020 Probably spooled quick and then run outta puff at the top end, as I think most 2.5 ltr turbos have a 8cm hotside and 2ltr has a 7cm . Just check with fastline that you have the right sized oil feed banjo bolts, if they didn't supply them with the turbo 😉 Just taken a quick spin to make sure all works - had big issues with the oil drain pipe and clip then had the obligatory air lock in the heater matrix. The 4th cylinder mod didnt seem to help with that. In the end I unplugged the hose at the bulkhead and topped it up from there. Kept it off boost but I believe you are correct I could feel the spool starting but it did not seem as urgent so I think as you have said there will a smoother delivery for longer. Yes mine is 2.5l turbo installed - the oil return to the sump is the most frustrating thing, 4 hours fighting with it then just managed to get the position of the pliers, my hand and the angle of the spring clip just right and it went into place. Booked in with TDRacing Warwick to get the fuelling checked Modified the heat guard around the headers to up pipe as the sensor is well and truly in place so this meant I could remove it without damaging the sensor Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jay762 Posted June 28, 2021 Author Share Posted June 28, 2021 Fitted some gauges Oil pressure, oil temp I fitted some time back under the turbo cyl 1 in preparation Sensor wires ready to be routed through bulkhead Some shrouding and the access sorted In place and through to under the dash gauge pod, gauges and showing the link cable will not reach Creating a patch lead Heat solder joints Plenty of length now Extending the power supply in the same way I connected the power supply to the appropriate feeds used for the Stereo and routed the sensor leads from under the dash up behind the console, then fitted the new surround from South Coast Flocking One of my side repeaters was cracked so replaced with some Alibaba LED specials before During After will try and upload a video... Jay762 Posted August 24, 2021 Author Share Posted August 24, 2021 Fitted a resonated mid section, had to cut about 50mm - think they may have sent me one for the saloon? Quick session with the angle grinder and cutting disc sorted that out. Using a phone app, I recorded a 3dB drop (94dB to 91dB) which is enough to keep the identity but now (so far) does not make my ears ring on a prolonged spirited driving session Some comparison clips...
